16 team league with some unique rules that tend to favor WRs.....

It's a PPR league, but Rbs only get .5 PPR, and WRs get 1 PPR. In addition to that, we are only required to start 1 RB, but 2 WRs, and then 4 offensive flex. So, it's definitely a league that heavily favors WRs....that being said, David Johnson was still the highest scoring player in our league, but just barely.

I think I'm a contender. This is my current team:

Stafford, Big Ben
Melvin, Lacy, McKinnon, Mathews, CJ0K, C Mike
AJG, Hilton, Diggs, Jordy, Pryor, Garcon, Cam Meredith, Mike Wallace, Lafell
Graham, Fleener, Brate, Bennett

The only pick I have this year is 1.2

Get: DJ


In a league where it was full PPR for RBs, I think I would pull the trigger....for some reason, here, I'm hesitant. Any thoughts?

In a 16 team league where the preferred option might be to start 6 WRs every week, I can see why you'd have the hesitation. Diggs is poised to be a PPR monster, Meredith could be very useful in PPR as well, and pick 1.02 could end up as a stud WR.

At that point you're out 2 elite and 1 above average asset who are all already getting a huge bump because of your league settings, and the end result is upgrading from ~RB6-7 to RB1.

Most people here are going to say DJ because he's DJ and not really give thought to the league settings, but with these settings I think I might rather have the 3 assets.

Yeah, with those settings I understand the hesitation as well. It's going to be tough for DJ to match last year's output... I'd wait until the draft and see what the top 2 players look like when on a roster. If you don't see a great option, then do the trade. Otherwise, maybe 2 of the top 3 RBs go into great situations and one can boost your RBs without paying that premium.

Yep, like I said most people are gonna say DJ easily without actually looking harder at the settings. WRs are clearly a premium here and 0.5 PPR hurts DJ more than in your standard 1PPR league. I think it really depends on what you think is a better option to roll out every week.

RB - DJ, Gordon / WR - AJG, TY, Jordy, Pryor, Garcon

RB - Gordon or 1.02 / WR - AJG, TY, Diggs, Jordy, Pryor, Garcon

I'd recommend waiting until after the draft. If there's a guy who falls into a great situation available at 1.02, you might be able to fill that hole with the pick instead of giving up so many valuable assets. I think 1.02 is going to look a lot better once there's a name assigned to it.

Don't overthink it, take DJ. For the post above, I'm assuming you'd be able to flex one of the TEs over Garcon, which makes that starting line-up that much better.
