2nd rnd RBs?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2nd rnd RBs?

Postby hockeyBjj » Thu Apr 20, 2017 10:00 am

Who are the second round (or late first if more teams) RBs that have caught your eye? Talking after the likes of Fournette, Cook, McCaffrey, and Mixon. Any guys in the 2nd batch you think will be performers regardless of landing spot, or a group that's a tier with a steep dropoff after?

if Foreman is there hes a no brainer (size/speed) but i think Kamara is a good bet. i think more importantly 2nd rd of dynasty can be a huge crap shoot; needs injury/opportunity

- David Johnson no other REAL backs were there, but he wasnt "the" starter
- Jordan Howard, does do much without injury to Lanford

so landing spot means more to me than potential (Rawls, Procise etc., NO thanks for crowded backfields...)

I am still finalizing my evaluations (which sounds a lot cooler then me just doing my reading diligence and watching some film lol). But I agree with the above Kamara and Foreman are nice, but I think they end up first round picks in most leagues. The guys I like as second round and maybe even third round pics are Samajre Perine (love this guy actually) Kareem Hunt (I like this guy a lot as well) and Jeremy McNichols (he is growing on me). But I don't like McNichols nearly as much as I like Perine and Hunt. Perine looks like a true workhorse and Hunt as some eye popping lateral movement on tape and can run between the tackles.

However I will add I like late round WRs far more then late round RBs. Zay Jones, Ish Zamora, ArDarius Stewart, Josh Reynolds all come to mind in the WR ranks. But like I said I haven't even started reviewing ADP still working on learning the players right now, I have been so caught up in baseball that I am just starting to review rookies.

I expect Kamara to go back half of round 1. Perine could also sneak into a few first round depending on landing spot and team needs.
As mentioned before, Hunt could be a nice grab. I also like Wayne Gallman. He might even make it to rd 3 in drafts. He's got enough skill that he could become a decent starter.

Landing spot for most of these guys will determine how soon or to what level they get a chance.

Foreman (if he makes it to the 2nd round) and Perine are guys I think who can perform well in the NFL.

Spies everywhere but 2 I'd consider easy are McNichols and Foreman.

I like samaje perine for the price. I'd take a chance on him in the late second early third easily and I think he and Joe Williams are two of the most underrated in this draft class

Hunt, Mack and McNichols are my guys in the 2nd round.
I assume Perine, Foreman and Kamara will all be gone although I have Hunt ahead of all three.
Towards the end of the 2nd and into the 3rd I'll be looking at Aaron Jones,
Joe Williams, Jamaal Williams
