Going for gold...

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Going for gold...

Postby Generic Username » Fri Mar 31, 2017 8:51 am

Looking to make another title run with a team that was runner up last year and feel that shoring up RB is the best course of action. Team I'm targeting with following potential proposal is in rebuild and I wanna know if what I throw their way is highly considerable:

Give - 1.10/1.11/B Perriman

Get - D Baldwin/I Crowell

If youre in win now mode thats a great trade for you. Baldwin and Crowell are both underrated and both starters on most fantasy teams. Feel like you may have to give a little more but I would definitely do this.

Given how undervalued Baldwin generally is, the stigma Crowell likely carries for being a Brown, and the fact neither are spring chickens anymore, I could see the rebuilding owner taking this.

I would consider it a win for your team, but it would be nice to see your team.

That's a steal for me. Do it!
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

I would easily reject that if I were him, but it's worth a shot

I wouldn't want Perriman even in a rebuild so he's not close to Crowell and I would need a bigger piece than 1.10 for Baldwin. The 1.11 doesn't make it better. If the other owner made that trade, he would be doing it simply to throw quantity at his roster rather than anything of substance. I understand the quantity train of thought in a rebuild but there also needs to be a balance of substance there too.

I've done a couple orphan rebuilds in the past and nothing's worse than ending up in a league where the contenders won't deal picks.

You get two very good players to help send you on your way. Your rebuilding trade partner adds two rookies from an exciting class to his squad and rolls the dice on Perriman's potential.

Viewed from a rebuilders perspective, that's a fair and attractive offer.
Risk-averse players want guarantees. The gamblers understand that there are no guarantees.

Good trade for you. Definitely helps you a lot this year and probably the next few.

That seems like a pretty even trade. No one wants to pony up for Baldwin, so I doubt the rebuild error can do better.

For those saying "no accept" if you were the rebuild team (giving Baldwin/Crowell), would switching to KBenj/Crowell adjust your approach? Those 3 players are truly this team's best assets; so while Crow is my true desire I think I can squirm my way into a WR addition, too.

Owners in my league would sooner give up KB than Baldwin. Lead off asking for Douggie, then change to KB if he doesn't take it.

I think that's a good deal for you and other guy. Seems pretty fair but to get him to bite you may have to sweeten a little. Yes u are giving two ones but both are late.
