Which WRs to move or hold?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which WRs to move or hold?

Postby gerg4747 » Fri Feb 17, 2017 10:25 am

For team in sig. WR is my biggest strength. I am not looking to move Brown, OBJ or Hopkins, but feel that I have quality depth left on the bench which is doing nothing for me.

Which of the WR below do you think are at peak value and should be sold? Which do you think will see value spikes this year and should be held? Also looking for pick value for the sell candidates. Thanks!

Tyrell Williams
Tyler Lockett
Tyreek Hill
Taylor Gabriel
Jamison Crowder
Robby Anderson.

I would look to sell the 2 Tys. With Keenan back, I don't see Williams having another big year. And Hill could be big, but he could also fizzle out. I would cash in while I can.

thanks for the feedback. You dont think Rivers can support both Keenan and Tyrell?

Possibly, but I see them running the ball a lot with Gordon to take some stress of the aging Rivers. Who knows though. I would just like to cash in on him while his value is high. Whether his value goes up or not after today doesn't matter, his value has gone up from where it was before this season. As long as you get more value out of him than you paid for him, you win.

X2. In all honesty I don't think your depth is as useless as you make it out to be. It's very solid depth based on potential ceiling, but you may end up with only three or four usable wide receivers from that group this year

Tyrell Williams
Tyler Lockett
Tyreek Hill

Seek a top 8-10 First, for those above

Jamison Crowder keep unless you're getting a top 7-8 pick. He gives you safety that you need.

Robby Anderson. Sell if you can get get a top 15 pick. Hold otherwise IMO. Definitely don't sell for anything less than a second

Taylor Gabriel is pretty useless for fantasy purposes, IMO. Sell for a 3rd

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I actually like all of these guys and think they all could have very high ceilings. But with AB, OBJ and Hopkins I am typically not going to start most of these guys since it is only start 2 WR + flex. If I could turn some bench warmers (in my case) into draft capital I'd like to do so.

Only 2 players I might want more than a late round 1st is HILL and WILLIAMS, the rest any late first I would move without thinking much.

As someone already said, I would look to move Tyrell also. With a healthy (kinda?) Keenan, two good TE's and Melvin Gordon, I doubt he gets the amount of targets he had last year. If I got anywhere near a mid 1st for him, I'd be happy.

I know it's away from conventional wisdom but I would shop Brown. This is prob your last year to get peak value for him. I think you and anyone else that think someone would give up a mid 1st for Ty Williams is badly overvaluing him. Lockett is useless unless your league awards points for special team yards. If you could get a high second for him you should jump on it.
