Superflex in a 10 team league - I'd consider Brees an elite QB to have.

RGIII doesn't matter for this league. So I'd see it as the two WRs and a swap of picks for Brees.

I'd actually take the Brees side.

Calling this "horrible" is a bit much. While the value of Brees in superflex is still pretty decent, he has made statements over the last couple of weeks that he isn't signing another extension and will play out the last year of his current contract. He turns 38 next week. Unlike Brady who I believe is still a handful of years away, it wouldn't surprise at all if Brees hangs them up at the end of the season in favor of the booth.

Tate just had a 90+ and 1,000+ season and Brown has his believers who think he will rebound back to 2015 production. The rest of the pieces of this deal aren't much.

If my assumption is right about Brees playing just 1 more season, how much do you think he could honestly fetch?

If the Brees owner thought '17 was Brees' last year, I could see the reasoning for moving him. Tate is solid and John Brown is adequate as a flex.
I don't think this is Brees' last season, and would happily take him in superflex for that price. I'd even take just one season of Brees over Tate and John Brown, but I guess I get it if he is entering a rebuild.

Trade looks fine to me. As stated Brees may be on his last year. I would probably rather have the Brees side, but next year the WR side will look much better if he retires.

It's a bad trade but not enough to cause problems. It happens. Guy probably loves John Brown and see's Tate as a nice bridge for his young WRs.

That is how old Drew Brees is...the picks are fairly irrelevant to me as they are close enough and late enough that it is likely the same tier to me. John Brown is a great buy-low, and Tate is serviceable.

No problem with this trade...my guess is you (or others in your league) are upset because it likely makes the Drew Brees owner a strong contender for next season? If that is the case, then it sounds like sour grapes to me. This is the last year where Brees will have any decent value so nothing wrong here IMO.

If I were selling Brees, I might want more, but the deal is certainly not "horrible." This sounds like some bitter owners in your league to me...am I close? I mean if there were significantly better offers officially on the table for Brees and they were turned down, then you can broach the "C" word, but we need more info.
