Wr help

Postby Kaz » Tue Jun 15, 2010 9:09 pm

We are just about to enter the 14th round of our startup dynasty idp draft, and I find myself in need of another WR. However, I'm not sure which would be the best to take. Here are the candidates:

Josh Morgan
Earl Bennet
Devin Hester
Jacoby Jones
James Jones
Donnie Avey
Davone Bess
Louis Murphy
Jordan Shipley

Any advice is appreciated, standard scoring for wrs.

What does your roster look like so far?

From that list of WRs I like Avery first then Hester, James Jones, Morgan, Murphy, Jacoby Jones...but they are all closely lumped together. If all of them were on the board at my pick I might try trading down. Also, if you happen to have an older WR group already I might think about adding one of the younger players with upside before Hester. I would not consider Bennett, Bess or Shipley this early.

At this point, I have Percy Harvin, Steve Smith NYG, and Derrick Mason.

I'd probably go with Avery.

I think Jacoby Jones should be mentioned here too. But you might be able to get him a round later, or two.

If you're set on taking a receiver, Hester has the biggest upside of that group as a starter in Martz' offense. I don't think he'll fulfill that upside, but he's the only guy likely to be not available with your next pick. Most of the rest of those guys, if not all of them, will still be there.
