Jamison Crowder Value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Jamison Crowder Value

Postby Motay316 » Wed Oct 26, 2016 12:54 pm

I have offered the Crowder owner a 3rd round pick, and he wants a 2nd for him. Is Crowder worth a 2nd round pick. He is 23 and seems to get better every game, however he is the 3rd WR on his team and will lose targets once Reed comes back. Thoughts?

3rd's are basically meaningless, so I don't blame the guy for only wanting to move him for a 2nd. Crowder will essentially step into a starting role next year once DJax/Garcon leave, but then he'll still be with Doctson/Reed assuming those guys stay healthy.

He's worth a mid to late 2nd IMO.

2nd round pick.

He's already in a starting role since he plays in the slot. I think Crowder is awesome, and his price is still fairly low. I'd send a mid-late 2nd for him in a second if I needed a WR3/4 with upside(I'm talking PPR formats).

Easy mid 2nd. In ppr, he seems like a relatively safe WR to own moving forward. I think he has a spot all but saved in the slot position next year and beyond. Very good buy low, will probably really never carry a high price tag because he's small.

fair deal and I would do it easily. Crowder has been a pleasure to own/play. I actually would not sell him for a 2nd, he's been too valuable to me.

I've been debating pairing him with a 1st to try and go after Melvin Gordon, but I just have a feeling about him. Not that he's gonna be a top 5 WR, but he's gonna be one of those players you can leave in your lineup no matter what and get a solid performance 90% of the time. That's tough to part with.

He's not a big "name guy" so no one will give up a first for him. I own him in both my dyno leagues and consider him a hold for anything besides a first. I believe Desean and Garçon are free after this year so I'm banking on a nice boost in target share, production, and value if they both depart.

I like Crowder much better. He is very very useful in WR 3 spot with upside. Boyd has had opportunity with Eifert out and I am surprised that there has been no involvement. DJax and Garcon may be out next year also.

Agreed. Crowder is a guy who's going to be perpetually undervalued until his production becomes undeniable. He's either a buy or a hold, you won't get fair value for him.

He's like a Landry Lite to me in PPR. Not saying he's going to produce like Landry, but very solid in PPR, even without the TDs. I'd definitely want a 2nd if I moved him...

In a deep roster league, starting 2QB, 2TE, would you guys feel comfortable trading an early 2nd for him? Since TE's and QB's are more valuable, it makes an early 2nd more like a late 1st in this format.

I would say probably not, but I wouldn't fault you for it. He is hard to get a grasp on imo. He is undervalued, yet also over schemed. So many of his TD's are a result of a great play design as well as having several other decent to very legit threats on the team.
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

I decided to pull the trigger on that deal. I think it's a bit risky, but so is the pick. I can start 6 WR's, so at the very worst he's nice depth to the squad. I do think he's majorly undervalued right now, and is easily worth a buy if you can get him for a 2nd. I went back to watch some tape and he was getting open with ease.
