Trade accepted: Proposed Foster and two firsts for Evans and Booker. He countered again and said you keep Foster I'll keep Booker and I'll do it. So ended up with Evans for two first rounders. Seems like a steal in my opinion

This owner is really looking for two of my three first round picks and has revised the original offer with several different options to receive Evans and a 2nd round pick.

I give Jordy Nelson and two 1st round 2017 picks (both expected between 1.2 - 1.5) for Mike Evans and a Second round 2017 pick.

If i make the trade that would still leave me with a 2017 1st round pick and two second round picks.

In a 10 team league I'd guess you aren't going to win it this year. So I would keep those picks. At least wait a week or two into the season to get a measure of how some of your players may perform: Dez, Gordon, Foster have huge questions.

If you get off to a slowish start I'd also try selling off some talent for other picks during the season. Foster and Jordy would be first on my list.

I forgot to update my team in my signature before posting this. i have now updated it. I just made a trade to acquire an additional 1st round pick for 2017 so now i have 3 Picks; leaving me with one if i made this trade. The pick i would be holding onto is my own pick, which i expect to be a late pick because I do disagree that my team does not have a chance at winning this year. I believe i have a very good chance of being in the playoffs and a decent shot at the ship.

Does having that 3rd first round pick leaving me with one 1st rounder change your original opinion at all?

That seems like a high price to pay, especially with both picks projected early.

I wouldn't do it. You should have a competitive squad this year, but if I had to pick your weakness, it is at RB. With three picks in the first with 2 supposed to be in the first five, you are in line to really score on some young talent. Fournette, Cook and the apparently healed Chubb are very exciting RB prospects. I would go with what you got, if you are in it, let it play out, if you aren't, sell off Jordy. I love Mike Evans, but with what you have and the price to pay to get him, I wouldn't do it.

I would keep Jordy and the picks. If you're running for the championship I don't know that Evans puts you in any better position to win this or next year. I think their numbers will be pretty comparable with the potential for Jordy to outscore Evans. And full disclosure I'm a big Evans guy.

Other owner asked about all 3 first round picks for Evans straight up. So I wouldn't be giving up Jordy. Love the idea of having that WR Corps of Dex, AJG, Evans, Jordy and Josh Gordon but I do realize that those first round picks could score me a potential stud RB next year..

I do not disagree that i am weak at RB but i think my current RB's can still perform well enough to keep my team in the top 3. I think M. Gordon turns it around this year. If i was to acquire Evans with any of these options I have great depth with WR to make a nice deal for an RB later this year too.

I know more of you have thoughts on this !?

In a 10 teamer I'd guess your a fringe playoff team anyway. I think 2 firsts plus Foster is a good deal and I wouldn't worry about what it does to your lineup. This gives you a stud WR to build off of. If there was a way to do Jordy, 1 first and something else (like Foster) I'd prefer that because I think your firsts could potentially make you a serious contender next year

This gives you a stud WR to build off of. I like your idea and i have been thinking along similar terms as I contemplate the situation. He said he really wants Diggs. So i was thinking maybe 1st rounder, Diggs and Foster.. and see if he would bite..? BUT Foster could be a good asset for me too if he can come back to 75% of what he was.

If you can get him to trade Evans for this, I would do it. Yes, you potentially lose a huge year from Foster, but you retain two firsts for next year and in a 10 team league, you can go to the wire and fill that extra spot on your roster with an RB or WR. There should be plenty out there in 10 teamer.
