Team in my sig, I just acquired Julius Thomas, and we all know Jordan Reed's value is at an all-time high right now.
Here's the offer I received:
I give:
Jordan Reed
I get:
Ladarius Green
Stefon Diggs
2017 1st (projected mid-round)
I know that Green could be out for the year, could retire, and so on. So, is the 2017 1st, which should be earlier than any of the other four picks I have in that round, plus a depth piece, enough for Jordan Reed's upside?

Re: Selling Jordan Reed- Is This Enough?
I'm going evaluate the trade as if Green was not a part of it. I think Thomas and Graham are more than enough value at TE and when you trade Reed the return package should not include a TE in the value you're looking for.
In a twelve team league that starts a max of three receivers I don't think Vincent Jackson is very useful. For your team in specific he'd slot in as your WR6 and I think that roster spot would be better used for a prospect.
You already have four 2017 first round selections so unless you have overwhelming reasons to expect this pick will be top three I also think it's value is lessened for your team.
You'd have a weaker RB corps for a PPR league that requires one RB starter, you're league requires two and it's only half PPR. If I was you I'd be looking to add a back that can help you win a championship this season.

Re: Selling Jordan Reed- Is This Enough?
Thanks for this. He upped his offer to Digg instead of VJax. I might be able to make it Funchess instead. Do either of those change anything?Eight7Seven wrote:I'm going evaluate the trade as if Green was not a part of it. Re: Selling Jordan Reed- Is This Enough?
Diggs + 2017 1st for Reed is an instant accept for me. Reed is a concussion away from retirement and the Arian Foster of TEs with annual soft tissue injuries. I'd be selling if I owned him anywhere.

Re: Selling Jordan Reed- Is This Enough?
I'd need a better WR than Diggs or something other than Green. Not trading a dollar for a couple quarters.

Maybe reed's value is at an alltime high, but I don't believe his price has caught up.

Re: Selling Jordan Reed- Is This Enough?
People are scared of Reed and somewhat rightfully so. However, if he has a 3-4 game stretch like he did last year, his price will start to match his value. I say hold him until you get an offer that really makes sense for your team.
I'm in the same boat, having Gronk already too. But I'm in no rush to trade Green for $0.50 on the $1.00.

Re: Selling Jordan Reed- Is This Enough?
I would make that trade in a heartbeat.
The 1st alone would be enough. Diggs is no throw-in, either. He has great potential. And Green is a solid lottery ticket who will be great IF he can get back on the field.
