Trade offer for 1.02

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade offer for 1.02

Postby radian » Sun May 08, 2016 6:47 am

I've been offered 1.13, 1.27, and 2.08 for 1.02. I'm in a 32 team league and my team is a major disaster. I have no QB, RB, or WR worth anything. Trading the pick for additional picks makes perfect sense, but I shouldn't make this move unless I can get fair value for this pick correct??
My asking price is three number ones, I'm willing to take a first in next years draft in the package. I believe according to rookie draft pick calculators three ones is fair value and not overpaying for the pick. I need some objective advice our draft starts tonight.

Thanks

Your heads in the right spot but I don't think this trade is for you. In a league that deep u need to grab urself a stud whenever possible. I just don't think you are gonna like what is there for u at 13 and 27. And that kinda keeps u in the same position ur in. If I were you and I decided to trade I would be lookin for some future first rounders. Next years draft will be much deeper and you may have a better shot at landing an earlier pick.

Without a QB I'm dead in the water. Yet I feel I should take BPA (Treadwell) and look for a QB in next years draft. If there were a solid number two in this draft I wouldn't even be thinking about trading. I just see a lot of average guys other than Elliot. I like the idea of picks next year, and I have a different trade where the team is offering two number ones in next years draft for my pick. This year he only has a second but I told him if Perriman is in the deal I would consider it?

This is a tough one. Your roster is in a tough spot, especially offensively. I think you need to stick with 1.02 and grab Treadwell/Coleman/Doctson to be your #1 option. You aren't going to win this year, or probably even next year (not trying to be harsh, just real) so start acquiring some studs and just keep getting early picks. For this year, and the future, I think you would rather roster Treadwell/Coleman/Doctson than a trio of Paul Perkins, Paxton Lynch, and Tajae Sharp (just throwing out random names based on Rookie ADP.

Good luck!

I'd pass on the open offer. Those later 1's are just too random to pass up the opportunity to add the WR1, whoever that is on your board.

Those picks are the equivalent of a late 2 and early 3 to move back to 1.13 (2.01 in a 12 teamer). This is an embarrassingly bad offer. No way should this be a consideration for you.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I don't think this trade helps your team all that much as who know if any of those later players will pan out. your roster seems lacking in great talent so landing a potential NFL WR1 in Treadwell should help you out more than the extra picks. classic paying nickels and dimes to equal a dollar.

There is not much in this draft beyond the top 4 picks. Select the BPA (in your opinion) at #2.

I didn't even look at your IDP's because I don't play that format, but how did your team get to be so bad?
Most of your players are not on rosters anywhere.
Your league should have a better system to encourage parity.
I'm not one to bail on leagues, but I'd seriously look for somewhere else to play. This can't be a lot of fun.

Stay at 1.02, take BPA.

If you traded back, I wouldn't go any further than 1.06 to take any of those top 6 players. In doing so, someone should be giving you an extra 2nd at the very least.

Going back as far as 13 is doing a disservice.

You cannot make your team a winner this season or next, regardless of how many picks you acquire. Just take studs now and worry about the rest later.

Draft Treadwell.

How did you not get the 1.01 with that team?
