i am thinking that i should probably trade him before the NFL draft

would you trade him for a 2017 2nd? 2016 2nd? mid? late? what player maybe brian quick? i could throw out a josh gordon offer?

i own mathews in both teams in my signature and would like to try to move him in both....

what is the least you would need to sell him?

i know the question is somewhat vague. sorry for that. i am trying to throw out some possibilities...

i could package him to move up in the draft too...

i have picks 2.6, 2.12 4.12 5.12 in team 1

i have picks 1.6, 2.7 2.10 and 5.10 in team 2

I can understand the desire to trade him predraft, but a 2017 2nd is well under value for a RB currently sitting on top of his teams depth chart. They aren't going to get Elliot, so few running backs from this draft will immediately supplant Mathews. I also don't think they can trade him without a decent alternate option.
Go ahead and trade him, just don't trade a dollar for 75 cents.

Agreed. The Eagles also don't have a 2nd or 3rd round pick. The have pick 2 and then don't pick again until 79 AND THEN don't pick again until 153. I'd be shocked if they used any of those picks on an RB. Mathews value is higher than people realize atm and his value won't be realized until the season actually starts. THAT is when you trade him, especially if he gets off to a hot start.

Unless I get an offer for him (doubtful) I fully plan on waiting and selling him during the season when someone like him has full value. No one wants old vets on the offseason, they want them during the season while they make their push for the 'ship.

Mathews is a definite hold. He will likely be the starter for the Eagles this season. I can see the Eagles bringing in someone like Foster to compete with Mathews because of his injury history. But I doubt the draft will hurt his value at all

Agree with this. I wouldn't do anything right now.

Well Pick 79 is a 3rd round pick, but I agree they won't draft a RB till their 5th round pick at earliest. Mathews is a strong hold now!

What does everyone think he's worth right now, predraft? Expected value come September?

Same for me, Mathews at worst will probably be the leader in a 65/35 timeshare this year even if they draft someone.

Not going to be original... not a fan but you won't get proper value for him right now.

The Eagles trading up was a boon to his outlook even though I am skeptical he can really be a long-term starter for his team.

So, in short, I think you should keep him.

I agree with everyone else that he is a hold, but I did just see him moved in one of my leagues. Matthews and Lockett for Kelce and C Mike. Take that how you will.

I own him in a couple of places. Hoping he starts the season well and then I can sell him- just like every other Mathews owner:)

I'm waiting for guys like this in my redraft, and I am buying for as cheap as I can get and sell for as much as I could get in dyno.
starting rb value to be had late rounds in redraft and is almost a throw away to some in dyno yet some really like his sleeper appeal.
