Go for Decker?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Go for Decker?

Postby pokerface40 » Sat Apr 16, 2016 4:19 pm

For team 1. I want to push hard for a ship this year and my WRs alone should give me a good shot. However my depth at both WR and RB is terrible. An injury or 2 and I could be screwed.

I don't have any picks so not much to work with to get depth. The Decker owner is open to trading him and I think he would be a nice piece. I thought about offering my 2017 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for him. Is that enough or is that insulting?

Any other players/moves I should be thinking about?

I think that would do it for most. I could not trade Decker for a single mid 2nd last year. Decker is not valued at all, even with his steady production. I would assume three picks would do it.

I doubt that will work, are you out of 2016 picks?

I offered it and he countered with his Decker, Yeldon, and Ivory for my Sammy Watkins and 2017 2nd. Also another one sending Decker for my 2017 1st and 3rd. He send screenshots of a trade calculator showing how I 'win' the trade, ugh! I hate the calculators and negotiating with owners that use them.

Decker is still a good player, you are going to have to pay if you want him. The 2017 1st + 3rd is fair IMO

Yes I am out of 2016 picks and as you can see have basically nothing on my bench in trade bait. I'd rather not give up my 2017 1st for Decker right now. Sure midseason if I see I am a strong bet to win I might start shopping it but trying to get some confidence in my bench preseason. I know I need to be delight with the waivers but they don't open until after our rookie draft and are pretty barren at this point anyway

Pass on both of those counters.

That's way too much.

Can u go get Emmanuel Sanders somehow?

Nope Sanders is his WR2 and won't let him go. Our league is pretty WR starved as there are like 4 of us who own all the top guys. I might just wait to see how our rookie draft pans out and who is left on waivers to pick from. I can always go after guys like Steve Smith, Boldin, Etc. later but I don't want to at this point.

Agree.

Nobody would give me a 3rd for him last offseason but now I wouldn't trade him unless it was 1st. Everyone wants him for much cheaper than he is actually worth.

If you're not willing to ship a first, try your 2nd, 3rd, and 2017 2nd. I probably wouldn't but it's at least a little closer.

With the way 2017 picks are being valued your 2nd 3 rd and 4 th seems like a very attractive offer and if the Decker owner doesn't bite (he might tho) I still think it could net you a really decent WR.

If you are going to give up a future 1st, it needs to be for someone better than Decker. Unless Fitzpatrick is re-signed, he's screwed.

I agree, I wouldn't give up a 2017 1st for Decker.

Not worth a 1st rounder. I got him for the 2.05 pick this offseason and don't know how, but I couldn't click accept fast enough. They wanted the 2nd pretty bad. I feel I would've had to trade two 2nds for him. Although I wouldn't trade him for that now. Good luck.

Decker isn't worth a first. He's got a great floor, but tough to see him repeating 2015 numbers going forward. That pick is going to increase in value and you should be able to get more. Why make a move for depth this early unless you're getting a good deal? Wait til mr right comes along and then pounce. Your trade piece can't lose value but what you're trying to get in return sure can. Be patient.
