This trade idea has been tossed around this offseason and was recently brought back up. It wouldn't go down until after the draft but any thoughts/opinions/adjustments (if needed) are welcome.

It has been presented as a baseline offer. Does it need additions?

I like the K williams side, like mentioned above, a younger back, with tremendous upside, and the obvious heir to Mccoy, and also a better pick.

The way he presented it, I'm expecting he's going to want to add something perhaps on both sides that favors the Charles side.

Maybe you can throw him 4.03. I'm not high on KW but Charles is coming off of a 2nd major knee injury and he has capable RBs behind him which to makes it seem like he'll be splitting carries with Charc and probably Ware to some extent, I think Charles' bellcow days are over...this is probably the last time to sell him and get decent value back.

You are getting a bump by the higher pick and I doubt you'll find a better offer than this, add whatever small piece you have to whether it be a late pick or a deep bench player

What Coogan said...except I do like Karlos Williams and think he will do fine when McCoy runs out of steam.

If he offered it as is, I would accept that. See for sure if he wants you to add to the deal or not. If he does, I'd probably throw in the 4.3 like Coogan said or maybe try a later pick.

Because he posed it as a baseline offer, I asked what he envisioned the trade to look like so that I could get a feel for where he was going with this "baseline" stuff. He came back with this...

I feel like he was setting me up and that my response should be to propose what was offered above. I'm not looking to move a young WR just to get a handcuff and a shot at another young WR. I need to accumulate that position.
Anyone else deal w guys that try the bait and switch maneuver? How do you deal w it?
