Jamaal Charles Value??

Trying to figure out what Jamaal Charles value is in picks or players. If anyone has had a trade involving him, I'm curious to know what was involved. Thanks for any info you may have

I hesitate to answer, because I don't think this was realistic--but I got him for Sankey and Rudolph right after the injury (was offered to me). Not sure if that helps much other than to let you know that some owners are (were?) quite low on him coming back to pre-injury form.

I was inquiring about Charles from an owner and he claimed to have Charles over Keenan Allen. Not sure if he'd back that up had I sent the offer over, but some guys can also see Charles as if he never got injured.

I've been trying to get Charles for team 2 in my sig. I tried Coleman and Megatron as the owner expressed interest in both and it was rejected.

Because he is proven but aging and injured, his value is like many rookies; all over the place. Read some recent ADP that had him going about 60, just over Tate and Hyde and behind Hill and Langford. After I refused an offer to swap D Martin for Charles, I countered with Forsett which was accepted right away.

I think his value can go up when it gets closer to Training camp and he shows he is ok....so maybe hold until then and deal if you get a good offer and are losing faith in him.

No way I would sell for a 2nd and unlikely to pay a 1st for him unless I'm going all in to win it all so I guess somewhere in between that??? Charles for(2) 2nds would make me think about it on both sides.

JC value is going to depend on if the owner is a contender now or rebuilding team.

I own JC in 1 league and won't trade him for less than top 5 RB value, when healthy he is easily top 5 and from what CWest showed me he isn't even close to the producer JC is.

Same league I own AP and from the offers I've been getting I see JC being of similar interest as AP from last year. Everyone wants to steal them with a perceived lower value however the team that owns them doesn't want to give them away so it's extremely tough to make a deal.

So a couple of weeks into the season, after Charles got hurt, I traded my Hyde, 2nd, and Kelce for his Charles and Cobb. Still up in the air about whether or not I should have gone for Cobb but I am rather comfortable with the trade. The 2nd was not particularly useful for me this year because we are capped at 7max per position, and since I have 7 start-able WR, I am not too concerned about missing out(will probably target a RB in the 1st).

For me, the question was IF Charles comes back to form, I have a great piece for my team for a couple of years to make a run for it. He has not had a ton of carries and is incredibly efficient. I still have a lot of youth, and I suspected that the 49ers floundering offense would lean on Hyde to give them production, which will break down a RB really fast.

So for you to consider Charles, I would look at it as: Where would he fit in to your starting lineup/backup. What pieces can you part with to take a swing for the fences because it will likely be all or none. If he comes back 50-50-ish he will likely ride your bench due to inconsistency. For me the risk reward was worth it.

Also, if he is healthy, the thought of Peterson, Gurley, and Charles as starting RBs had me drooling, and that is with Doug Martin on the bench.
