JMatt for McCoy/Karlos

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

JMatt for McCoy/Karlos

Postby K0wned » Sat Nov 28, 2015 6:01 pm

12 team Superflex PPR. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Q/W/R/T

My team:
QB: Stafford, Bridgewater
RB: Miller, Nobody (Taliaferro, McCluster, Sankey, Grimes)
WR: OBJ, Watkins, JMatt, MBryant, Snead, Amendola, LaFell, Lockett, Perriman, Funchess, Dorsett, DSmith, Torrey, Quick
TE: Olsen, Reed, Clay

Right now I'm slotted into the last playoff spot, 6-5 with 3 teams 5-6(2 of them with more points than me), and looking good to win this week (Stafford, PanthersD). I haven't really been trying to compete this year (have 4 1sts in 2017), but here I am.

I started looking around at RB options, I figure even if I don't make a championship run I will need RBs for next year too. One rebuilding team has McCoy/Karlos. I'm very high on Karlos, so maybe trading for both will make since both short-term and long-term.

I have soured on JMatt, so if the other owner is a believer would just him be a reasonable offer for both? Other ideas?

If the other owner is one of the few remaining JMatt believers, you might be able to get one of those RBs for him, but both would be an absolute steal. Unless he's explicitly expressed interest in Matthews, this offer could come off as mildly insulting.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

Really, I'd be a bit surprised if either leapfrogged JMatt in consensus dynasty value, but it is possible. November ADP had JMatt 26, McCoy 65, Karlos 79.

Oh, just looking McCoy has had a few really nice games in a row.

Any ideas for a more fair starting offer? His team is weak at both RB/WR

I would sell JMatt for those guys all day long. They both can score points every week and there just aren't many RBs that can, definitely way more value in RBs like that than an average WR3 like JM.

I could see an owner taking that deal. Doesn't hurt to try and send an offer even as a price-check or to start trade talks.

PS I have a thread going that i need feedback on too

Give me the BUF RBs pretty easily. I'm not Matthews fan though. McCoy has really started looking like the McCoy of old recently as he's gotten healthy, and he's back in the top 5 RB discussion for me. Plus getting Karlos is huge to me, and I look at Karlos as not only of the top handcuffs in the game, but a RB that could eventually be McCoy's successor in a couple of seasons.

Buffalo rbs side easy.

*** it's because you are getting both here that really limits your risk. I wouldn't trade for McCoy without getting Williams also.

But, if you can get the package I would say atleast a second thrown on top of that. Start with jmatt and a second and see if that gets it done for you!
