Kuechly Trade....is it too good to be true?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kuechly Trade....is it too good to be true?

Postby Markdavis3033 » Thu Oct 22, 2015 1:09 pm

Was offered a deal in my 12 team ppr dynasty league.

I would give up Stefan Diggs and a 5th for Luke Kuechly.

Here's what I have thus far at both positions:

WR

ODB
Randall Cobb
Larry Fitz
Nelson Agholor
Leonard Hankerson
Cole Beasley
Diggs

LB
Stephone Anthony
Thomas Davis
Brandon Marshall
Michael Wilhoite
David Harris
Melvin Ingram

My league allows 11 total starts on offense and defense....I can start 3-6 WRs and 2-4 LBs

Is it a no brainer? Or do I stretch myself thin on offense? Diggs has some solid upside

Depends on scoring, but Kuechly is a machine. In my league its 1.75pt per tackle and he's THE linebacker to have, so for me it's an instant accept. I also own Kuechly

Agreed with the above. This deal is totally dependent on scoring, but I'd lean pretty heavily to the Keuchly side.

unless the scoring is really tackle heavy i would stick with diggs. diggs is starting for you and imo you dont have a great replacement. much easier to find replacement lb to score well than it is wr.

Wow. Instant accept in that scoring. Can't believe a sack is only worth 2pts vs 2 pts per tackle. Kuechly should be scoring 15-20 pts a week in that system easily, 10 pts on a bad day.

I don't mean to threadjack but with these same settings would you trade Kuechly for Eifert?

No. Keuchly basically untradable as Watt would be in most systems.

By "untradable" you mean way too valuable to trade right?

Pretty much. In the scoring system presented he has a huge advantage over most other IDP not named Watt let alone all but the top stud offensive players. To me that makes him untradable if he's on my team unless someone comes to me with a big overpay. Basically he's in the category of a Bell or what Calvin used to be.

Eifert is not even close to him in value.
