Completed Gore Trade- Thoughts?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Completed Gore Trade- Thoughts?

Postby gerg4747 » Sat Sep 26, 2015 4:00 pm

Sent Gore and received a 1st this year, Montee Ball and a 2018 3rd. Win, lose or draw?

I stopped reading after the point where you got a 1st round pick for a 32 year old running back. Yeah, I'd say you did just fine.

I should rephrase my thread. I felt good about the trade and getting the 1st, but now I've left myself very thin at RB. Any good buy lows who can be had for cheap and will serve as an RB3?

This is crazy. Great deal for you but what is that kid doing? That's insane. We had a trade in our league that was Gore+ for a 3rd. That probably wasn't good value for Gore but better than the ridiculous overpay that this is. Good deal for you

Karlos Williams (probably taken), Damian Williams (needs a Miller injury), Josh Robinson (probably taken), Bilal Powell (might be taken). A lot of options but not sure of your waiver wire.

Wait just seen buy lows, so trade options. The guys above, particularly Powell. Taliaferro is another. If you are looking for a starter, not sure there are many cheap options. Best bet is to get a RBBC guy if you want a cheaper option. Ellington may be had for cheap between the injury and David Johnson showing out. When he's back, he'll be lead dog again. McCluster could be a decent ppr option. I think Denard Robinson gets touches when he is healthy. He is more explosive than Yeldon. Could see him getting 10 touches a game.

Some options to consider.

Going to Indy spiked his value during the offseason. I got him for a 2nd and people called it a steal. However after his abysmal start, to see him go for a 1st+ is very surprising. He may still earn it though. Indy has 4 games against Ten and Jac, they have the Saints, Falcons, Buccaneers, Steelers, and Dolphins. All teams that can be run on.

Thanks for the insight guys. I tried to trade for Karlos Williams but the owner has crazy trade expectations for a guy who is essentially nothing but potential. I was thinking of targeting Taliaferro as I liked him last year and don't think Forsett is a long term solution. Do you think Buck Allen overtakes him as the #2? I dont want to go after Taliaferro if Allen turns out to be the guy to own.

I think Allen will not be much of anything. That isn't to say Taliaferro loses touches to him if they become a duo but Allen could just as likely be out of the league in 2 years. He's just not very good. I wouldn't worry about him. I think his limit is 3rd down status.
