Please help with trade for Gio

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Please help with trade for Gio

Postby Browns95 » Mon Aug 17, 2015 9:12 am

My team desperately needs RB's and I was offered the trade below:

I give Permian and Steffon Diggs

I receive Giovani Bernard

It seems pretty close to a fair offer but I would rather keep Diggs and hedge my bets on either him or Charles Johnson working out in Minnesota.

Should I look to take Diggs out and make this trade or have him add something on his end? The main pieces on his team are Lamar Miller, CJ Anderson, Eddie Lacy, Dez Bryant, Demaryious Thomas, Jay Ajay, Jonas Grey, Tyler Eifert, Ladarius Green.

Any help is appreciated!

Not sure Gio is the answering you're looking for. But if you feel that strongly about hm as your RB1/2 then this seems fair. You might need to add a late pick if the owner is high on Gio and low on Perriman.

Perriman is worth more than Gio.

Gio got traded in one of my leagues for V Jackson and Walford.

There should be a thread about hoarding WRs.

Gio isn't going to help you. Truthfully I'm not sure your team will even compete to go after Lynch or Gore types. Is there a team stacked at the RB position?

Most of the teams in my league are very thin at the RB position so almost none are willing to trade a RB, even for an overpay. The team that sent me this current offer of my Permian and Diggs for his Gio is really the only team with RB depth. His RB's are Eddie Lacy, Gio, Lamar Miller, Jonas Grey, Jay Ajay, CJ Anderson.

I know my team is not close to being competitive which is why I went with the BPA strategy in our rookie draft and WR's were usually the tie breaker lol.

I'd leave Gio alone and go after Miller.
youd have to give something more with Perriman then Diggs but would be better in long run

Id do Perriman and Lee for Miller and a pick. Lee hasn't been the same since he got hurt in college and cominutes to be prone by injury. Might be the last bit of value left for him if it continues.

Yah I'm setting this guy up by making a couple offers for Lacy that you know he won't do and then act like I'm settling for Miller who is your target all along. You have a ton to offer and Miller looks like a good fit for your young team.
QB : Lawrence, Tua, White
RB : Barkley, Connor, Pacheco, Fournette, Foreman, Breida, Edmonds
WR : Meyers, Sutton, Cooks, Chark, Z. Jones, T. Marshall, T. Burks, J. Williams, J. Dotson, J. Metchie
TE: Hock, Njoku, McBride, Otton
DE : Lawrence, Ngakoue, Hubbard, Landry (I Guess)
LB : Warner, Spillane, Luvu, K. White, Lloyd, Ellis,
CB : Davis, Gardner, Henderson
S: Delpit, Curl, Scott

Think this method would backfire. If you lowball him on Lacy his view will become distorted of any future trades from you. It could be a fair trade but he might still see it as a bad trade just because he is use to giving bad offers. The set up is fine if verbal dealing is used.

I want Lacy, would you consider, blank , blank, and blank.
Get better with each progressive offer and he will most likely say not Lacy but I'd do Miller for that.

Might as well get Ajayi if he's not too much as well. Locking down Miami's backfield for a couple of those WRs and/or a pick.
