Do I move my 2024 1st for a late one in 2022 (rebuild)

My team is terrible but I'd like to add another draft pick in 2022. Have an offer of 1.11 for my 2024 1st. I feel like players now are better than a 1.04-1.06 in 2024 (worst case if my rebuild efforts totally fail).

Even though it is a couple years out, I would hold. Your 1st could very easily be early still at that point.

I would certainly not do this trade now. I don't mind moves like this but I always want to know who I'm going to take....you can't possibly know right now.

Nope. If there is a player that you had ranked top 4 that fell, maybe. But..you say you are in rebuild. A lot can happen. Things never pan out in FF, so you could hold the number 1 pick then. Strong hold for me. This is the kind of thing that helps me keep competing ( Won every other year for the last 8 years ). I hold 4 firsts in 2023 because people don't value those picks as much. I have done the exact same thing you are looking at doing, and ended up with Barkley at the 1.1 and that team is still in shambles. After looking at your team, that pick will most likely be the 1.1. I would be selling everyone for future picks. I would also do the opposite of what you asked. Sell your 1.9 for a future first.

In a rebuild I'd prefer to hold my own future 1sts and 2nds. It can be tempting to send a first a couple years out for a prospect you like now, but if your rebuild does drag on longer than you think your losing games will be benefiting someone else, or you'll have to overpay to get your own 1st back.
