Price check on Andrews (trade deadline)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Postby papageo8 » Sun Nov 28, 2021 8:08 am

S/f ppr 10 team

Mark andrews what is he worth

2023 1st, a bit more or a bit less?

2022 1st instead?

Buying from a manager ripping up their team.

If you can get him for a late 1st in 2022, I think the value is solid based on the class.

Do you think a 2023 is too risky?

I have 2x mid 2022 1sts but one of the 1sts (mine) has a good chance of turning one of them to late as I think Andrews sneaks me into playoffs but I'm likely to get ripped to shreds in final by the monster team in the other division. However way fantasy is you never know.

Would you risk the 2022 1.06 for Andrews or pay up on the 2023 if pushed.

I would be fine pushing out to 2023 if you would rather gamble. Andrews is a solid TE asset either way which is a big deal.

I'd rather pay 2022 if I'm honest but manager wants 2023 which is understandable really.

If not TEP I might poke around a bit for a cheaper option first. From what everyone else says, 2022 is the class to buy players with your pick though.

What are you trying to accomplish right now? Are you rebuilding or contending? You have a lot of great picks coming up over the next 3 years but not sure what your plan is.

I think I would try and sell something like Irv Smith+Engram+2023 2nd for Andrews before I sold the 2022 1st pick. I think the value is okay but I feel like you are working on a rebuild here and have a few more players to sell. Then I'd think you would work on TE/WR/QB for the next year or 2 and then use my picks to buy a TE. That's just my a loose plan. Buying Andrews cheap would be nice but not sure 1.06 is cheap in a rebuild.

It's all around close but Andrews adds points but doesn't push you over the top, IMO. I think I'd sell Rodgers, Jrob, OBJ, AJG, Renfrow first and then see where I was at next year.

Plan has always been to rebuild. 2019 I had Andrew luck retire which set me back loads.

Etn, Dobbins, irv smith hitting IR haven't helped either.

Since then I've sold carson, kupp, kelce, waller, Chubb, Marvin Jones and the occasional spare part.

I find myself in the playoff hunt in 2021 by sheer dumb luck (well rb handcuffs like Herbert and Williams have really helped).

So plan was to rebuild.

I've tried flipping the players you mentioned but no one is buying these guys at fair price.

Update they asked for 2023 1st and 3rd. I think that's too much in the end.

Or league now looks like this

Team 1 9 wins (4h2h)
Team 2 8 wins (4h2h)
My team 8 wins (3h2h)
Team 4 7 wins (3h2h)
Team 5

Team 1 plays my team
My team plays Team 1 an 4
Team 2 has out of div matchups

I am definitely outsider but it's good to know I'm not facing chubb, elliot and probably kamara unlikely vs team 4 this week.
I'm also not the strongest team in the playoffs but I seem to be able to put up a steady floor of about 150-160 but not the ceiling others have.

Ertz is very useful ros but Andrews adds 7 points to ertz floor which may make a different.

Considering the 2023 1st push but I'm out on the 2023 1st and 3rd.
