Michael Thomas

I'm not contending this year, so I'm wondering whether to trade Michael Thomas. When he gets back healthy, he is my WR1 but I need to think about whats best for my team going forward.

I could trade him for an early 2022 2nd (should be pick 13), or do I try to attempt to get a 1st for him? Alternatively with a relatively weak class coming up, do I just keep him and use him going forward and into next season?

This week I had CMC, Barkley, Thomas, Waller, Gronk and Fuller out injured, with E Sanders on a bye - not surprisingly I'm now 1-6 on the season!

I've got two likely top 3 picks next year, so not sure if that potentially encourages a Thomas trade or not.

I would be pleased to get a 1st for Thomas in 2023 based on your build if possible. If not, hold and hope he gets back on track and sees a bit of a value rebound. An early 2nd in this years class does not look great but its a gamble either way as Thomas fall has been sharp and ugly.

That's a tough position. I would instantly trade him for a 1st. That (possibly) 2.1 is almost a 1st, but with only the possibility of moving backwards, not up.

It's a tough decision, because if MT looks blah upon his return, his stock is going to fall lower than that early 2nd. Based on the totality of MT's situation/age/type-of-injury/delayed recovery, that's not a gamble I'm willing to make. I'll slow-walk the 2nd for a few days jic a better offer comes along, but definitely get it done before MT returns.

I'm holding on Thomas if that's the best offer you can get... He was too good to just suddenly be nothing IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if he looks disinterested upon his return and then ultimately gets moved in the offseason, but I think he'll get it together by next season, wherever he may be...
