A contender in desperate need of a TE *Updated*

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

WTF league is this where TE owners are asking for multiple 1sts for Shultz and Goedert? Is it a super TEP?

Edit: what about the Gronk owner? He may only cost you a 1st and a 2nd! :wtf:

It's pretty rough for sure. No premium and very frustrating for someone trying to buy a TE that so many are on two teams so they just name their price.

Ha ha, solid hold there. It's tough when values are so high for certain owners. At times I feel like every asset has value...except the ones on your (my) team.

Jeesh what a frustrating league.

At this point I kinda see two options:

(1) package a wr and TE for someone else's wr/RB and TE.
(2) let them hog all the TEs. Without a premium, while the ones with top options have a positional advantage against non-top TE teams, the rest don't really matter.

You'll have to use your non-first draft picks on more TEs in the future and hope to hit.

Also thought of another name. Smythe for Miami is another potential TE FA that I like.

Fant? Id be paying more for him than Schultz and Thomas and Goedert, esoecially due tonthebsituation. Age will come into play in this league for sure.

I might just go for the gross overpay on Pitts. I mean 4 1sts for Pitts or 2 for Schultz?

Also, sounds like you should try a player swap and then go buy a different position. Use a DK for Pitts type of swap. Should be easier to rrplace the production at wr(or whatever position) than over spend with draft picks
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

11 starters - QB, RB(2) WR(3) TE, SF, Flex(3)

Stroud, Kyler, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Minshew, Trey Lance, Dalton l, Mike White

Breece, Achane, AJ Dillon, Justice Hill, Evan Hull, Chris Rodgriquez

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawerence, Jake Haehner, Jake Browning

JT, Kendre Miller,, K Ingram, Ty Chandler, Michael Carter, Kenny Macintosh, Sean Tucker

Puka, Rondale, Mooney, Wan’dale, Terrace Marshall, DPJ, Justyn Ross, Xavier Hutchinson,

Kyle Pitts, Luke Musgrave, Juwan Johnson, Darnell Washington, Jelani Woods, Elijah Higgins

It's been pretty tough the last couple years to find deals. I will start hammering TE's in the draft to try and hit.

The Fant owner offered him to me for Ridley, which I'm not sure I'm there yet...

Pitts is owned by one of the owners that has all the TE's but I plan on seeing if there is any option tonight. I'm sure the price will be outrageous but I would like to get a young TE and be done with it.

Fant for Ridley is sort of what I was talking about. Seems like draft picks are undervalued, since it takes so manybto get a guy. Maybe Ridley and a 2md for Fant and a 1st?

Rifley is a great example of a guy you coukd possibly replace his production

I struggle to wrap my head around trading an asset like Ridley for Fant but I definitely see what you are saying. Values are what they are in this league and although I think they are out of control, I guess you have to pay them if you want a TE which I struggle with. I'm going to see what I can do tonight with a couple owners and go from there. I'm not sure I think Fant is a safe floor TE either is more what I struggle with. At the same time, I'm not sure many of those type of TE's are out there.

Ive been in leagues where positions are over valued and its insanely frustrating. You just have to leverage it in your direction.
