Dobbins for Ridley?
12 team, 1 QB, 1/2 PPR. I took 3rd this year and am looking to add another WR if possible.
QB: Murray
RB: Swift, JT, CEH, Dobbins, Wilson, Mostert, Moss
WR: DK, Lamb, Kupp, Mclaurin, Reagor, Deebo, Campbell
TE: Kittle, Hockenson
We can start 1-3 RBs and 2-4 WRs (total of 5) in this league. I'm curious if others would pursue Ridley with the team that I already have. Beyond DK, Lamb and Mclaurin, I don't have a ton of confidence in this group and even those guys can be streaky. The Ridley owner is desperate for RBs. I think Dobbins is going to be a stud next year, so i'm a little hesitant to pursue this trade. I'm also not sure if Dobbins straight up is enough for Ridley given that Ridley was a top 5 WR this year.

I would try to push CEH for Ridley personally even if you have to add a bit.

Re: Dobbins for Ridley?
Good attempt! I prefer Ridley to Dobbins, but I have Ridley inside my top 7 WR's, which is probably higher then most. With RB scarcity, I could see Dobbins having a higher trade value then Ridley, so maybe you could get something on top??Randomguess wrote: βWed Jan 13, 2021 8:28 amI discussed CEH with him first and he was not interested.Gator Sens wrote: βWed Jan 13, 2021 8:21 amI would try to push CEH for Ridley personally even if you have to add a bit.

Re: Dobbins for Ridley?
I see Dobbins-Ridley as coming down to preference. I Dobbins carries more perceived value though, so if the other owner really wants Dobbins, I would see what you can get added to Ridley.

Re: Dobbins for Ridley?
Where are you picking in the draft? This year is pretty shallow at RB, but as of now seems to run into the deep 2nd at least with some solid WRs. Maybe hold tight and spend your first two picks on WR. I think Dobbins value is only going to increase, whereas Ridley doesn't have as much room to go up much more after finishing #5 in WR scoring. So if you wanted to make that trade eventually, I think it will only improve in your favor on your return on it over time. Especially if the Ridley holder doesn't walk away from the draft with one of the top 3 RBs Etienne, Harris, Williams.
Re: Dobbins for Ridley?
PPR dynasty I will always defer to the WR in trades and while I love JKD, this feels like its clearly Ridley IMO. In my NON PPR, keeper leagues I would consider Dobbins over Ridley but that would be close.Gator Sens wrote: βWed Jan 13, 2021 8:33 amGood attempt! Ridley all day. Dobbins may be a stud Ridley IS a stud. Isn't even close for me and with your RB I don't think its much of a choice.

I'm picking at 1.04 and 1.10. He is picking at 1.06 so he will not get a top RB. I would take Chase or Smith at 1.04.dustyroads wrote: βThu Jan 14, 2021 7:42 amWhere are you picking in the draft? Re: Dobbins for Ridley?
Yeah, so I def can agree with others at face value Dobbins vs. Ridley, you'd want Ridley. The two issues I see though are Dobbins is currently in the middle of his value spectrum and most of that lays with owners rather than buyers, owners see all the positive aspects and value in projections forward and obv are high as they just drafted him, buyers will point to Gus Edwards stealing PPR and Lamar stealing RZ touches and use his current production in valuing him. Ridley is pretty much peak value now, not a ton of room to increase and really the only doubt is his QB next year. So doing the trade right now, they'd probably want more on top of Dobbins for Ridley. The other is that you really have a solid core of 4rbs and 4wrs to start across 5 WR/RB spots every week and as much as Ridley would be a definite upgrade, I'd say he's a "nice to have" as opposed to a "need". This other owner sounds like he's in a desperate spot, but that will probably become more desperate post draft when he realizes there aren't a ton of good RBs in this class and between established starters, last years rookies, and the FA rbs available; odds on him hitting a James Robinson type from the draft or waivers is close to nothing. I think he'll become much more flexible as the season gets closer. And really, it's something that I think is more than likely gonna keep swinging the other direction after the year starts, so the longer you wait they better value you'll get for this trade, or maybe even be able to get Ridley for a guy like CEH instead of Dobbins.Randomguess wrote: βThu Jan 14, 2021 1:02 pmI'm picking at 1.04 and 1.10. Obv. all just my opinion, and I'm also high on your core group of Lamb, DK, McLaurin, and Kupp. Especially considering you'd only have to start two of them alongside a mix of 3 of Taylor, Dobbins, Swift, and CEH. Holding tight also gives you some leeway to still be competitive if you catch an injury at RB.

Already upping his offer haha? That's much more appealing considering RB scarcity and everything else I just said above. I'd have a hard time turning that one down.Randomguess wrote: βFri Jan 15, 2021 5:25 amIf it's Ridley + 1.06 for Dobbins, would any of you still hold Dobbins?
