league format:
2 qb
2 RB
2 WR
2 TE
2 R/W/T
qbs get 6 per td, -3 per INT, no yardage bonuses. WR''s get 100 (3 pts)/200(6 pts) yard bonuses, non ppr.
$500 auction budget.
i can keep cooks for $50 or matt ryan for $40. i know this would typically be obvious but consider matt ryans past 5 years vs cooks:
ryan: 2018 - qb 2
17 - qb 15
16 - qb 2
15 - qb 20
14 - qb 7
cooks: 18 - wr 13
17 - wr 7
16 - wr 8
15 - wr 12
also for context: mahomes is being kept for $40, baker is being kept for $15, and davante adams is being kept for $50.
ive been struggling because i feel like if i keep ryan, the trend would have him finishing in the teens and hed be more expensive than baker/mahomes so im starting in a hole. my concern with cooks is that i dont know if $50 is actually saving any money with him. if i went with cooks id probably consider hi my wr 1 and go rb/te heavy on my spending and try to find value at qb in the trubisky/winston/cousins tier.
if i keep ryan i would probably not spend another dollar on the qb spot and accept mariota or someone on that tier as my qb 2.
should i not take a keeper?
what does everyone think?
should i keep matt ryan or brandin cooks for this auction?

Ryan is a slam-dunk.
And how much another player is being kept for is irrelevant. The question is how much Ryan would go for if a free agent right now (and Cooks). I'll bet that Ryan is worth far more than $40 (and Cooks might not even be worth $50).

X2 Ryan is a locked and loaded top 8 qb. Do not worry about that weird historical on off trend for Ryan it’s a crazy thing I know but it’s probably just from chancemoishetreats wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:59 pm Ryan is a slam-dunk.
