I like the talent, but he is a WR5/6 for the next 3-5 years in KC with Smith and Reid. Only buy low if you're a patient owner, which I am not.

I really love Conley. But Reid already has an otherworldly talent at TE, and yet seems unable to come up with ways to get him the ball. I fear Conley will get the same treatment.

In the short term, I think Wilson would be the pickup. Lesser ability than Conley for sure, but he seems to fit with Smith better.

I'm giving Conley the 3-year treatment. But I'd admittedly feel better about his prospects if it weren't for Reid/Smith. If he shows much of anything in 2015 I'll be happy, but am willing to take a bit of a long-term approach with him.

What do you guys think his value is now, that he's vaulted into the starting lineup, had a solid if unspectacular season opener, Alex Smith is a year older and only has 3 more seasons (maybe he gets waived in '18?) left on his current deal if memory serves. I just received an offer of him for one of my '17 3rd rounders (I have six first rounders, 4 2nd's, and a couple 3's in that league, and that '17 3rd should sit in around the mid 3rd, around pick 29-30).

He was drafted in the 3rd round, I think if you've invested in him this long, keep holding him for a 3rd IMO.
His value should have moved up a bit, it hasn't gone down.

Had no idea he and Foles were bff's, and the Jags don't exactly have an imposing WR corps.

Which may not matter with Foles taking an indefinite absence.

I just assume it's a death in the family or something. But I guess you never know.

It will be interesting to see if Chris Conley can follow Albert Wilsons career arc (guys whose value got a renaissance by leaving the Chiefs). Some players do benefit from a fresh start & a new team. Honestly I don't think it will help much, but I also dont think the odds of Conley finding success in Jacksonville are 0% either.

Same. Stashed him in anticipation of FA, the open depth chart is reason to hold. I'm not expecting/demanding a top 15 WR. As long as he's productive depth I can start with byes, that's a win. I've already cut half my 2019 stashes from last year.

I assume you feel he will mesh well with Nick Foles? He certainly landed in a situation where he can get meaningful snaps - we saw that last year with Moncrief. :)

Yes, I think there are some legs to the Conley-Foles connection, especially considering the preexisting relationship in KC. Lee is pretty injury ridden and there is room next to Cole/Chark/Westbrook.

Conley has always been an elite athlete, but never really thrived as a main receiver. He has a chance to change his role in his current situation. Elite measureables ensure a safe downside imho.
