Jordan Matthews

So, if he's the WR1 in Philly, which I expect, he'll put up insane numbers... Right?

Voted top 20. I don't think he has the chops to create separation consistently on outside routes.

Do you think Maclin is a better talent?

At creating downfield separation, yes. I wouldn't want Maclin over Matthews in the middle of the field or the red zone, though. I think Matthews will have to make contested catches if used as an outside weapon more frequently.. which I believe he has the ability to win those contested situations, I just don't think getting that separation out there is his strong suit, and given what I've seen of Kelly's offense, he likes his receivers to get open on the outside.

I think he has a good shot at top 15 if he's an every-down player this year and the Eagles get reasonable QB play. Separation is important but overrated in the NFL.

I just feel like if DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin can both have career years in that offense, JMatt can too.

This. I don't think he's a lock as a top 10 WR, but I've doubted Kelly's WR1 the past 2 years and missed out. If he's an every down guy as Kelly's main WR, i see no reason why he won't hover in the WR15 range .

Certainly will be the year we find out ... Do not think he will have a better opportunity! I think he goes top 15, will be dependent on how often he is used in the red zone and how much help he can get on the outside, haven't really sat down with the schedules yet, but he does play in the NFC East, so top 15 isn't out of the question...

Like to note that Chip's system is very run heavy, think that gets lost in translation somehow, not quite the "run n' gun" of yesteryear...

May also be worth noting that JMatt's current competition for targets consists of Huff (completely unproven/untested at this level), Ertz (very little exposure at the NFL so far - criminally underused last year), Celek, and Cooper.

If JMatt can't pull a top 15 finish I'd be shocked.

The caveat being what PHI does/doesn't do WR-wise in the draft.

He's a dedicated hard worker with great physical skills/size/speed. I think he will continue to build on what he did in his rookie year. I give him top 15 if he is the WR1 in that offense.

No none of the above option?

Didn't vote as I can't see him finishing even in the top 20.

To be completely honest; it's a combination of three key factors for me.

I just don't see him being that good, he put up some good numbers but that was not as the #1WR on the team. He is going to consistently be facing tougher coverage and I don't think he has the talent to go toe-to-toe with the top CB on the other team every snap.

The next is how up in the air the quarterback situation is over there. Who knows who their starter is going to be? On top of that, they now have Murray, Mathews & Sproles. I see them being a very run heavy and dink-and-dunk pass offense which won't bode for big numbers for a WR. Could be favorable to pass catching RBs and the TEs.

The final point is that there are plenty of other WRs out there who are just as good, if not better than Matthews out there that could rather easily out perform him. I just can't see him finishing with top 20 numbers.

i voted top 15 but i wouldnt be shocked if he was higher at all. seperation isnt really a huge need for a slot wr who had comparable numbers to sammy and mike evans last year with sub par qb and he was the wr3 half the year and wr2 the other half. idk how he can move backwards...
