I've watched Andre Williams a decent amount this year and i'm not impressed, at all. His vision looks poor, and he goes down easily unless he lines someone up then he can bowl them over. Crowell is a legit talent. I'd take him all day every day over Williams.

What would be a fair offer for Crowell for the team in my sig. The Crowell owner is pretty light on WRs. He has some top end in DT and Cobb, but his depth isn't there.

This isn't close for me. It's Crowell. Williams looks destine to be a backup. He just isn't the 3 down type back that the NFL looks for now. He's a 10-12 carry, short yardage guy imo.

Not too mention Williams can't catch the ball. Yea, not close.

Crowell just looks so much more explosive with the ball in his hands and Andre's vision has not been very impressive.

Williams isn't a special talent.

His YPC mediocrity this year actually aligns with his college tape. Whenever Boston College faced a quality D-line, Williams clearly struggled with efficiency. When BC's O-line was winning, he was monstrous. It was always one or the other. Williams truly excels at getting what's blocked (he'll get what's blocked and then a lot more), but offsets that by rarely creating for himself when the blocking isn't there. The reason for this is his mediocre vision and lateral agility.

Throw in the fact that he's a zero in the passing-game, and what you have with Andre Williams is a guy whose ceiling is poor man's Alfred Morris (because Morris has much better vision). And his more likely career projection is Jackie Battle.

So... Crowell or Williams?

My vote goes to Crowell, and it's not close. Williams likely won't be more than an early-down TD-dependent pounder for his career, and not a particularly good one without drastic improvement to the Giants O-line. With Crowell, if he gets enough opportunity, he has All-Pro caliber upside. It's a murky depth-chart situation short and long-term, but the bottom-line talent is there for it.
