Kendall Hunter
After this injury he will miss 2 out of 3 years and becoming a FA next year is he done in dynasty leagues? No way he ever gets a lead back role now.
Re: Kendall Hunter
I have been holding onto him for a couple years hoping he would carve out a worthwhile role somewhere else. I don't see him landing a starting gig next season in free agency with the ACL injury. It looks like he will end up being a career 3rd down back/handcuff for the rest of his career. I cut him loose today when the ACL was confirmed. I need the roster space.
Re: Kendall Hunter
Eh, for a minute I thought he might possibly be an heir apparent to Gore; looked pretty quick and explosive in the limited snaps I saw him in. I drafted him as a rookie with some moderate expectations, but yeah, looks like it's probably time to cut bait.
Re: Kendall Hunter
Sadly, I think his road back to having any fantasy value at all is looking pretty grim. Coming back to quasi-relevance after tearing an Achilles is an impressive achievement, but coming back from a second major leg injury seems unlikely. I'm sure it's doable with the medicine they have access to these days, and at least he's got a glimmer of hope sitting right there on the same roster with him (Lattimore, who is even still a question mark himself), but it's probably a long shot.

Re: Kendall Hunter
I'm one of the bigger Hunter supporters around. I had him pegged as a Toby Gerhart/Ben Tate of 2015. I expected someone to sign him on as their starter. With the ACL, I agree that seems very unlikely that a team would put that much faith in him. The good news is it is July, so he'll have a full 13 months before the 2015 season begins.
I think best case for him now is he gets brought into a situation with a current starter on thin ice. Maybe Richardson struggles again and they sign Hunter as the backup. Or Gerhart is very average and they bring Hunter in as competition. That type of thing. He isn't going to be handed a starting role with the injuries. That just won't happen. If you have an IR slot, I would stash him for the year just to see where he lands in 2015. If you don't have an IR slot, the choice is a lot more difficult. They kid has talent, but the injuries are a major concern.

Just needs the patella injury to complete the lower body injury hat-trick.
49ers have already said they want him back.
