Demetrius Harris: The next big thing?

Postby Matticus » Fri Jul 04, 2014 5:13 pm

Now I know hundreds of incredible athletes have failed miserably in the NFL over the years, but basketball background + freak measurables have resulted in some AMAZING tight ends in the past. I had been watching him this summer and picked him up right before this article came out http://dynastyleaguefootball.com/2014/0 ... us-harris/ (nice job DFL!) and now I feel even better about the acquisition. TE friendly QB, Kelce still isn't 100%, getting 1st team reps, team is void of WR talent, and so on.

Get'um while he's still on the WW!

He's 257 now - that's puts him in Gronk territory if the weight has only slowed him down a tenth of a second.

I know your pain. I use ESPN and I've been regularly checking to see when he gets added..

If ESPN is any indicator, it will only be when he makes the final roster.

In my leagues when there's a player not in the database we just add a no-name tight end or some other player who has absolutely no value as a stand-in for the guy we actually want and notify the league who its supposed to be.

NFL has Richard Rogers the 3rd round pick of Green Bay as a FA TE, so they should have Harris listed

WR Davante Adams, Julio Jones, Tyler Boyd, Chris Godwin, Anthony Miller, Nelson Agholor, Robby Anderson, Zach Pascal, Rondale Moore, Jaelon Darden,

TE: Dallas Goedert, Austin Hooper, Dawson Knox

D 49ers,Ravens

Taxi Squad

Both Travis Kelce and this guy are available in my league. Who would be better to use my 5.01 on? I start Jimmy and have Pitta covering bye's so I'm mostly just looking for a guy who will be a valuable trade asset.

QB's: ARod, Rivers, Sanchez, Manziel, Mallett, Mettenberger
RB's: Charles, Lacy, Ellington, Oliver, Davis, Starks, CMike
WR's: Julio, Maclin, Sanders, Watkins, Crabtree, Patterson, Quick

I'd prefer Kelce. His opportunity is better in the short-term.

Kelce, but if possible try to add Harris as a FA. Someone is going to be productive in the Chiefs offense and it's not going to be Fasano. You're probably looking at a Jordan Cameron situation where it will be 2015 before either one gets a chance to break out.

I doubt Kelce gets to 5.1, but I've seen some strange stuff this offseason. If you have the space I'd add Harris as well. You never know how a guy will do coming off microfracture surgery.

I'm sure that they will both be there at 5.01. It's a 10 team 2QB 1 TE league. Not much value in TE's unless they are high end TE1's.

I shrugged off the reports about Cameron/Julius last year, so I only ended up with Julius on 1 of my 8 teams I had going last yet. I won't make that mistake again. I stashed Harris in several leagues before the DLF article came out on him.

Of course now that I have him stashed in so many leagues, that means he'll never end up amounting to anything. lol
