Once I finalize the board and teams are set at our 30 roster max, what is the process for clearing roster spots for our rookie draft? Does sleeper offer an option to balloon rosters until later in the off season? We have a small taxi squad so this would be preferred, but was curious to hear what the process is. It's not the end of the world to make cuts before the draft to clear roster space, but I think we'd prefer to balloon rosters. We could do a slow draft off line if that's the case and then I would plug in the drafted players closer to preseason with final cuts just before.
Not familiar with the site. SleeperU?

Can anyone point me to a deep college IDP list that might also include latest recruits?

The guys in my league just use the player nicknames feature on sleeper and change nicknames to OTB LF whatever, untouchable. Etc.
(First post on DLF Forum. Hello world)

I just moved a league from MFL to Sleeper and am still getting used to it. Can you spell out in a little more detail what you mean by the above "change nickname" trick, please? Sounds interesting but I don’t have a clue what feature you’re talking about.

Thanks

Oh wait. By "player" nickname, you don’t mean the NFL Players, you mean the league owner team names, right?

I personally did not like sleeper.

We are switching away from CBS to ESPN so we don't have to pay a league fee. I don't see how CBS can charge so much for a league. I wanted to switch a while ago, but the only reason we stayed was because of slightly more scoring differences. Fgs over 55 are worth 8 in my league, but ESPN only allows customizing og 50+

Is Sleeper better than MFL for flexibility?

No. It doesn't have all the features of MFL. It's strength is being very fast, have a good app, and simplicity. For example: no support for auction and salary cap leagues.

IMHO, as an older fantasy player who uses 95% PC/ laptop, Sleeper is my least favorite platform. I understand it shines as a Smartphone fantasy app. It wasn't close to FT of MFL.

I have four free leagues on ESPN which did improve their site functions last season. I also play in several pay leagues on CBS, which did get better lately. I was in a league on MFL until last year. The commish decided to leave. I spent weeks trying to get thru to customer support online to allow me to take over and continue the league but never got anything but an auto response. Never heard one word from them. Liked the site and it's functions including draft flexibility which ESPN doesn't have, but very disappointed in them otherwise. With a dozen teams, and LM in four of them, I just didn't have the time to try to export the league to another site.

Unless you are looking for a free hosting site, I don't understand why anyone uses any other platform other than MFL. MFL is by far and away the most customizable platform on the market, and it isn't even remotely close.

We use CBS, which is expensive, but we've had no problems with it since our league's inception. And the phone app, which is what most of my owners use during the season, is fantastic.
My league has been on CBS since inception 2004. Apart from the $150 fee which my guys don't mind it has been great. CBS is also more user friendly that MFL which i have used for another league in the past.
