Ugh Chris Johnson

Postby wilhouse » Wed Mar 26, 2014 5:22 pm

So I was really hoping he'd been traded or cut by now and new HC whiz isn't helping with his latest statements. What are you feeling on the Running Back formerly known as CJ2K.

I wanted to try and aquire him but now I don't know what to do?

Well he's going to be playing somewhere so you can probably still get him pretty cheap. I'd hope he's not your RB1 or RB2 though.....

I'd like to get him to be my rb3 with upside. I'd give up Bradshaw and Moreno for him

Finally, My bet is he lands with NYJ soon. He should easily beat out C.Ivory as the main ball carrier - have a shot at low rb2 numbers in ppr leagues. If Ivory wasn't there, I'd say that CJohnson would have a shot at low rb1 numbers for the short term but I believe it will be some time of rbbc there with Johnson seeing more work than Ivory. Johnson has an excellent injury history and because of that Rex will trust him and lean on him. I'm looking forward to a short term resurgence of production from him for at least the 2014 season and maybe part of the 2015 season. My gut tells me the Jets draft a rookie rb soon though. Ivory simply isn't trustworthy health wise and Johnson is 29.

All i hope as a CJ owner is he doesn't go to the NFC West to the Rams where he'll have to face Seahawks, Cards and Niners défenses.

I bet on Cowboys. Jerry Jones can do it ! Maybe Bronco if his mind says "oh non i'm not a feature back anymore, just a good offense toy with speed, i would like to win a Superbowl !"

I would put the Jets, Rams, Jags, and Browns as the top choices. They all could use a "speed back" or have a top RB at the current point in time who is a major injury concern.

It will be interesting to see if he goes with playing time or money.

Playing time or money? He's not getting big money anywhere. Any chance he goes to St Louis?

Forgot about CLE, good call here. ATL might be a decent option as well.

I hope he stays away from the Rams and Pats. I think the Broncos would be awesome

I think ATL/NYJ would probably be the 2 best realistic spots for him to land.

I doubt Atlanta would pursue him with Jackson on the roster. If anything they'll draft a young RB to take over in the next year or two.

I have absolutely no idea if the Broncos are interested in him, but I agree that it would be a great landing spot for him and it would instantly make their offense more potent. Manning throwing little check downs to a RB with speed? Yes please.

As a Jets fan I want him. I also think that's his best landing spot.

I would love to throw this on the Montee ball/Knowshon Moreno leaving thread and see how people jump up and down.

if he went to Denver, I would try and pick him up with his current value
