rice's legal issues aside i dont completely understand all the love for pierce, especially with rumors of adding an additional rb in the draft. i understand the poor o-line play but only mcgahee had a worse ypc last year and pierce had 150 carries.

Pierce was also dinged up all year and his rookie year he looked awesome. Add in the fact that Kubiak runs a zone scheme which Pierce ran at Temple and I totally understand the love and I'm also participating in it (to a reasonable amount, if I got a good trade offer I would part with him easily)

As a Rice owner, I offered the 2.06 for Pierce. It was declined. The Pierce owner wanted to do Pierce/3.06 for Gerhart. I wouldn't do it. I think Gerhart is in line for a nice season and his value will rise. I'm not going to contend for a title in that league this year anyways, so I'll gamble on Rice seeing the field sometime in 2014 and sell him then.

Well I don't own rice and I own Pierce, I would likely sell him for an early second. As for player comps, I think two guys I would sell him for that people are kinda freaking out about are Reggie Bush or Stevan Ridley. The Joique Bell signing definitely will limit his touches but Bush is still a great start I'm PPR. I think Ridley will fix his fumble issues this offseason and he is a beast between the tackles. Up and comer I think he right below Lattimore/Michael range. I would be down for adding a bit more to get either of those. I really like him but it is definitely not a sure thing he will ever get full reps. Also, nagging injuries are a concern. He is pretty much a younger version of Ben Tate.

I am a Pierce owner, I tried seeing if there was any hype for him in my league after the recent Rice news.

I offered him for the 1.10 to the Rice owner and was declined.
I offered him for the 1.07 and was declined. (That was a long shot but figured I'd try.)
I offered him for the 1.09 but haven't heard back.

I would go a bit lower but in my league, the 1.11 owner is pretty much not trading it at all, same for the 1.12 owner, and I own the 2.01. Not sure if I'd go much lower than that.

Ray Rice will avoid trial on assault charges after being accepted into a pretrial-intervention program.
The charges against Rice will be formally dropped upon completion of the program. The arrest will remain on his record, but without a conviction. It's the best-case scenario after Rice was caught on film dragging his fiancée (and now wife) by her hair through an Atlantic City casino after allegedly knocking her out. Rice is still facing a potential league suspension, but it's unlikely to be lengthy.

Soo... anyone want to re-assess their suspension guesses on Rice? I still think 4 games is worst case scenario here and I doubt he even gets that.

What he gets or what he should get? I still think he gets 4 but it's the NFL and it's led by Captain Dildo himself Roger Goodell. He is way more concerned about guys that like to hit the bong than hit women. It's embarrassing.

Likelihood is he gets 2 games I think. He should get much much more than that but that's really neither here nor there.
