What would you be willing to pay for him in a Dynasty League? Is he worth obtaining at all? What if you own Ray Rice, would you give more for him than if you didn't own Ray Rice?

He is definitely worth something as a stand alone and worth even more for Rice owners.

I'd give a mid 2nd rounder for him.

As a Ray Rice owner, I offered JStew straight up for him. I was wordlessly shot down, which I somewhat expected, but that's pretty much where I value him at this point.

Ray Rice took a nosedive and Pierce fumbled the opportunity. That O-Line is still awful (cutting Michael Oher isn't the solution) and any draft pick will take a couple weeks to acclimate. Even if Rice is suspended, I'm not sure why anyone should believe Pierce is going to be any better situated to showcase his talents in a bid to unseat Rice as the starter. I won't say its not possible, it just doesn't seem probable to me.

If I was a Rice owner I would defiantly want him. Otherwise I'd say he's a decent depth guy. Even if Rice ends up falling even further I wouldn't see him as a RB2 guy. His only worth would be he would get carries.

I'm a Lynch, Bush, Rice, P. Thoms, Starks owner in a league where you can keep someone a max of 3 years with a cutdown to 16 this summer.

I've been offered Pierce 2015 3rd 4th for Colston 2015 2nd 5th. Gonna keep Colston.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I do have similar concern, but as a Ray Rice owner i feel I should cover my bleep. They are switching to a new zone blocking scheme. Not sure who that helps though. I've been offered him for a 2nd rd pick.

Also, did I post this in the correct forum?

Bad oline play last year was IMO the big problem with the running game. Ray wasn't 100 percent most of the year and Pierce got banged up too.

Fortunately I own both backs and I'm optimistic that Kubiak can breathe life back into the run game. Not sure how ray will fare in ZBS, but I do remember Pierce getting Foster comps coming out of Temple, which if he can produce anywhere near those comps in the same running scheme Foster had would be fantastic.

I'd pay a late 1st for Pierce as a Ray owner, but as a non Ray owner I would think any 2nd would get something done.

His value just went up big time in my opinion. Rice indicted by grand jury on aggravated assault charges.

I'm sure the asking price did, mainly because most people overreact or are uninformed of what exactly an indictment means . His fantasy value should still be the same I would think. Theres a new coaching staff in Baltimore now, have then even given support to Pierce as the backup? They definitely have to Ray Rice as the starter. The indictment is just the next step in the process to him clearing himself. I could see him possibly be suspended two games max. After all, he's a top notch guy with zero character issues. It looks like his girl got drunk, passed out and the elevator door was closing on her legs so he drug her out of the way.

But yeah, fantasy owners will ask/or pay more for him now.

Honestly, I hope your entire post is a joke. If it's not, it's the most ridiculous statement I've ever seen on this site and I've seen a lot. Are you Ray's brother or something? The fact that the charges were upped from simple assault to a 3rd degree felony is HUGE! Grand juries don't do that just because they had a boring day and wanted some publicity. They truly believe they can charge him with it. Why do they think they can charge him with it? Because they have evidence. The fact that her charges all were dropped are also important. This incident happened at a CASINO. That's the last place you want to commit a crime. Cameras are everywhere. The fact that the charges have been upped for Ray and dropped for his fiancée likely means they have video and/or eye witnesses of the assault. He is in big touble. Did you hear his lawyer's statement? It was something along the lines of "we aren't making excuses but she started it". Your statement about her getting drunk and passing out is hilarious. You don't go to couples counseling when one of the people in the relationship passes out from getting too drunk. They are going to couples counseling to try and get this charge dropped. She doesn't want him to go to jail, they aren't married yet so she doesn't get a dime of his money. He is in lots of trouble. If he gets out of jail time, Goodell will lay down the hammer. I don't know what the max suspension you can give a player that isn't convicted of anything but that's what Goodell will go for. If R.Rice is convicted, he is either going to jail or will get lucky since it's his first offense and get lots of probabtion but still a suspension by Goodell. As for the Ravens still supporting Rice as the starter, what else can they do? Have you ever heard of the phrase "innocent till proven guilty"? They can't just bail on him before anything is proven. Doesn't the fact that they are interested in Blount make you wonder? Why would you want Rice, Pierce and Blount? When Rice already makes big RB money and Blount will cost a few million a year. There are laws in place that you can't just fire people when they are convicted of stuff. You have to let the legal system do its job first. And if they do have video of him hitting her and knocking her out cold, he should go to jail. Sports are not the number one most important thing in this world. Unless a woman is trying to seriously harm you with intent or a weapon, there is no excuse to hit her. It's sad that Rice may have to learn this the hard way.

Thanks you two for demonstrating both massive underreaction and overreaction.

How is saying either jail or probation with a suspension from Goodell an overreaction? This is serious stuff. Maybe I should have quantified what I believe suspension. I think Rice will miss a minimum of 4 games. I don't know how court rooms work but I think he will be charged, minimum jail sentence with lots of probation. The fact that they upped the charges from simple assault to 3rd degree felony is a big deal.

What would you call a great middle ground?

Plaxico Burress went to jail for a felony. I don't see any reason why Rice can't do the same. The fact that it was in a Casino I think makes this a much more serious issue. You can't pick your nose in a casino without someone seeing.

In some cases I think its important to handcuff your starting tailback. I handcuffed ray because I liked Pierce coming out and was hoping for a transition as ray got older, not possibly suspended or jailed. Didn't see this one coming. Not sure what transpires for ray moving forward, but Pierces asking price just went up whether you agree or not due to the chance ray misses significant time.

Especially when he knocks his fiancé unconscious !

Bernard's value is going to go up and up as this unfolds. But it could drop just as quickly if Ravens sign another RB (interested in Blount and MJD??)
