Desean jackson on trade block

Postby Danbeell » Thu Mar 20, 2014 12:22 pm

I dont really think desean jackson will be traded. Hes real good but he is owed 10 million next year. And with the depth of WR in this draft, a team could get a good one on a rookies contrat.
If it did happen I personaly would like it being a maclin owner. His up side would go through the roof and he would most likely get a contract extension after this year. Jacksons stock would probly disapear.
We will see!

Looking back at the second half of this past season when the Eagles went on their winning streak, Jackson had two really good games. One of those two games was the now infamous 7 TD game by Foles against Oakland. For the most part Jackson was not producing big stats while the Eagles offense hit its stride. Considering Jackson has already said he deserves a new contract while his current contract still has three years remaining, I would not be totally surprised if the Eagles front office does trade him.

To who is the only problem. Only a couple of teams have the cap space for his contract.

As a Djax owner I hope he stays put. Much greater chance of him landing in a crappy scenario if he gets traded unless it's somewhere like the pats where he can easily beat most competition there. But the chances of that seem very unlikely.

so many conflicting reports coming out of Philly... and an eagles fan I'm not sure how i feel about trading him... and as an owner of both Maclin and Djax I'll have to keep an eye on it

He certainly is good at making himself known as a pain in the bleep. I think his stock would surely drop if he left. Macklin would get a bump but Cooper would get an even bigger bump.

Should signed Maclin to a longer contract if they want D-Jax out. If they trade D-Jax and Maclin puts up good numbers on the one year contract the Eagles gave him Maclin would have them over the barrel at the end of the year.

(KFFL) The San Francisco 49ers have expressed interest in trading for Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson.

(KFFL) The New England Patriots have expressed interest in trading for Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson.

Where there's smoke there's fire? I still own Maclin, but I just traded Riley Cooper/Stevie Johnson/2.09 for 1.08 last week!!! Man, I wonder if they do trade him, will Maclin be a sell high before he can get hurt again??

Jets have made trade inquiries about D-Jax.

Would probably be the worst landing spot for him.

Very true. Seems weird they wouldn't have signed him longer knowing this.

If I remember correctly, the Eagles wanted to do a longer deal but Maclin didn't.

that's what I heard too. Maclin is super skilled and he knows it. I could really see him being a top 3 WR is djax leaves and they draft a nice solid wr 2/3 to help riley take pressure off.
