To be fair, I don't think Boyce should be completely dismissed. His skillset is more in the mold of a faster/stronger Edelman/Welker/Amendola. I really like what he brings but his injuries threw him off and I think he very well may need another season learning their system. I could see him becoming a PPR machine in that system and love him as an end of bench stash (obviously much further down the bench than Dobson).

I also like Boyce & have him stashed in one league. It may be tough to carry him for another year though. I think a lot depends on what the patriots do in the off season. Meaning if they bring back Edelman &/or Amendola I may be forced to cut bait. I've read a few reports that the possibility remains for the patriots to release Amendola.

Put me down for Boyce over Dobson. 2013 didn't go well for whatever reason, but his physical profile is that of a Garcon/Harvin hybrid. He also scored well on his wonderlic so I find it hard to believe he can't pick up the offense.

He's super-cheap at the moment and I've giving him one more year to strut his stuff.

Have you ever seen the kind of questions that are on a wonderlic test? Has absolutely nothing to do with football or a players ability to pick up an offense. While I'm not a huge fan of any of the Pats young receivers i think Dobson is definitely the one to own.

Yes, I have seen the types of questions that are on a wonderlic. It(Wonderlic) does show a good correlation as to how people reason. So, I disagree with your 'abosutely nothing' comment.

Boyce scored a 23, I know that means absolutely nothing to you, but it tells me he is right around QB averages. He has the type of reasoning skills that will allow him to pick up not just assignments, but the offensensive scheme.

It's not just the wonderlic though, it's his physical skill set that excites me. He's built like concrete corner post at 5'11" 205ish. Has the deep speed running his 40 in the mid 4.3s. Quick as a hiccup with a 10 split of 1.54. Agility is upper level too(6.68 three cone). He's got good upper body strength, 22 reps, puts him on the lower end of OL numbers.

If Edelman leaves, we know it's only a matter of time that Amendola loses time, I think he is the perfect inside-out WR for Brady and that system. Not doing this to knock Dobson any, just trying to stack the numbers in my favor. Once again, if he tanks '14 sans injury, it's time for me to look elsewhere.

Think some people got distracted from your question.....I scooped up Harrison when I dropped my kicker because I read a couple of article that hoody might try to use this guy in a Hernandez role. He would be beast as a move te. If he can learn the playbook and stay out of trouble.
I only play in 16x53 with 10+ taxi size leagues with full IDP. All are PPR and most value return yardage. So my opinions may be skewed To these deep roster leagues.

Dynasty Fantasy is not a game, it’s a full time hobby.

Meh...I think Gillislee could be a decent stash due to the uncertainty of the RB situation in MIA. However, I remember a report coming out of MIA about how the organization didn't feel he would ever be more than their RB3. Who knows though.

I've stashed Leshoure in hopes of him leaving DET. He really didn't look that bad in 2012, and that was his first season back from his ACL injury. I believe he's only 23, and has low miles on him. Reports out of DET this week suggested that Leshoure could be in line for a bigger role in 2014. This is actually bad new IMO. With Bush/Bell, I don't see Leshoure holding any fantasy value while he's still in DET, no matter if his role increases or not. I think he needs to go to a new situation. He's on the final year of his rookie deal, and I remember it being a very cap friendly contract. So we may have to wait until next year to see Leshoure get a real chance somewhere. I won't hold Leshoure for another season because I don't think he has huge upside. If enough hype build around him to give him any trade value, then I'll look to move him unless he gets traded.

I've also got Leshoure stashed in several places not that I think he's a high value target, but he has upside given the offense. He had an achilles injury rather than an ACL so a longer rehab time isn't too surprising and I figured his 2012 stats (poor YPC) were due to still coming back from that injury. 2013 was a big disappointment. But, there is a new coaching staff in town that won't necessarily throw-throw-throw and Bell is a FA. I kind of expect him to stay, but maybe he gets more money from somewhere else and leaves town. That would leave Leshoure as the primary backup to Bush who isn't known for a being a thumper and gets hurt each year. That would give him some value I think even if it's just trade value rather than value to your actual fantasy team.

I like Leshoure as a cheap stash and I own him almost everywhere, but he will need to move on from DET to get a chance again. There is 0% chance that Joique isn't in Detroit next year.

Pretty sure those Questions they ask in the Wonderlic are influenced by those situations but in more real life terms which shows how you can react to situations quickly and how fast you can process things correctly.
So I do think that not havign a good score can show how fast someone can or can't process certain things and potentially plays in their head, plays are a situation in which you have to react quickly while reading or (calculating) the situation

I do agree however that sheer talent can be shown regardless but it may take some more time because of low wonderlics

All these guys played bigger roles in their teams season imo:
Gio- 25
G. Smith- 24
Lacy- 17
Glennon - 26

All these guys took time or didnt even play:
T. Austin - 7
Patterson - 11
C. Micheal - 11
J. Hunter - 12
(Entering 3rd season)12 team (6playoff) (.5 ppr), dec scoring, WR=TE's (1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1 flex, 1d,1k) --20 regular season roster + 2 practice squad spots reserved for rookies only

WRs- Gronkowski, Cobb, Nelson, Patterson, J. Cameron, J. Reed, T. Wright, Gonzo* (retired)
