I own Amendola in 4 of my 7 leagues, but I would never depend on him as my WR1. WR2 maybe, but I strongly prefer WR3. At WR3 he has strong upside, and that is probably his floor. To me, you have to factor in his injury risk, which drops him to low-end WR2, high-end WR3.

Funny how People who were high on Amendola because he's a PPR machine were right and people who were low on him because he's injury prone were both right

Actually, I was more high on him because he had brady instead of bradford throwing to him. Had to factor in the injury risk tho, which already kicks in Week 2. Edelman and Thompkins look like the beneficiaries of that this week, maybe Dobson, who I own but won't start yet.

I'm willing to bet if it was a playoff game he'd be playing. Short week and it being the Jets, not worth making a minor injury worse.

It's a groin injury, similiar to a hamstring injury or a dislocated shoulder you just don't really know what you have and even when you do strap it on to play the chance of re-aggravation is extremely high. I honestly don't know what to expect, but I'm not as optimistic due to the type of injury it is. Especially since it's the Patriots, I don't expect to get any in depth injury reporting anyway.

In a 10-team PPR league, I saw him traded straight up for Torrey Smith.
Team 1, 10-team 0.5-PPR

RB (2-3): Walker, Swift, Dobbins, R. White, Mitchell, Gainwell
WR (3-4): Hill, Godwin, Aiyuk, Flowers, N. Collins, Doubs, M. Wilson, Shakir

So, what're owners trying to get for Amendola currently? Someone is trying to push him on me, but I'm not trying to pay pre-injury value.
