1. Najee
2. Etienne
3. Pitts
4. Chase (this league devalues WRs so much its infuriating)
5. Javonte
6 Devonta
7. Waddle
8. Bateman
9. Elijah Moore
10. Trevor Lawrence
11. Trey Sermon
12. Trey Lance (totally insane overpay to get this pick during the draft, Marquise Brown and Raegor, for this pick)

I would say that is an underpay to get 1.12. Both Reagor and M. Brown have underperformed to this point and not sure if they will pan out. I wouldn't have taken T. Lance, but not an overpay.
Understand your point but i think it will be looked at as an overpay, i think Brown and Raegor are more well suited as WR2s and they are gonna be that now. I also think Lamar throws more this season and hollywood is gonna get more big plays since he will be open more with Bateman on the other side.
I would gladly throw in the towel on Raegor & Marquis Brown to move up to the end of the 1st to get "my guy". Smart move by that owner. And maybe the recipient of those receivers will benefit too. Maybe.

Imagine a few years ago if you said "insane overpay, someone traded away Doctson & Corey Coleman to get Lamar Jackson"......

😂 Most definitely it was an overpay based on value - regardless of the rookie that was picked. Good grief people… this is dynasty and this move might be related to rookie fever. An argument could be made that a tad more patience might be deserved but it Could be roster or team need driven.

This is his time. It took DeVante Parker 5 years to breakout. Sure it's a different position and Ferguson isn't even on a team but maybe the guy passed and they just put someone in there to move the draft along.

Or maybe Riley Ferguson is in their league and picked himself?

In terms of value, certainly an overpay but not egregiously so IMO. I think in 2 years, Reagor and Brown could be after thoughts while Lance could be a top 10 QB. So one of those "overpay now, robbery later" type of trades

Ill clear this up a bit, Raegor and Brown were given up by the defending champ who is stacked everywhere else, so it is definitely an overpay that could be made and wont hurt this team. As far as the pick goes, im 100 percent certain it was done as more of a defensive play, meaning he wanted to keep Lance away from his #1 rival in the league who has Tom Brady still starting. So take lance just to make sure the other team doesnt.

As the team that Patsfan86 is talking about, I traded Marquise and Reagor to get 1.12 (Lance) because I feel he's an elite upside prospect. Reagor and Marquise Brown aren't going to be superstars. I believe Lance has an opportunity to become a top 5 QB, and that allows me flexibility to trade my stacked QB's around, which fetch a good amount in our league (this is part of each league having unique dynamics, ours values RB and QB highly).

The other part of this is, the league will not trade with me in season, and I need to be completely well balanced, or I'm trade exploited.

I agree with you about Brown and Reagor. I think that is a fine price to pay for 1.12. And if you have that belief about Lance being top 5 then it makes sense to select him there.
