I didn't see a dedicated thread to Devonta Smith (if I missed it please give me the link) but wanted to see what you all thought of him. Going into the draft I had him after Chase and before Waddle. I'd still say those three were the top three rookie WRs.

(fantasypros) Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught three of his four targets for 41 yards in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. In doing so, Smith passed DeSean Jackson to become the Eagles' all-time rookie receiving leader.
Analysis: Smith finishes an impressive rookie season having caught 64 of his 104 targets for 916 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games.
So while Chase has gotten much of the attention, what are your thoughts on Smith? I think he's as good as advertised, and will be a solid WR2 with the chance to be a good WR1. In on Superflex I drafted Chase, Smith, and EMoore for a team I inherited with TERRIBLE WRs (Beasley was my best WR) and I'm fine rolling out Chase as my WR1 and Smith as my WR2.

That he can't pass and Devonta is a WR that needs to catch the ball? If Hurts is averaging under 200 yards a game that factors into how many yards Smith will be receiving. Just because Hurts scores FF points doesn't make him a great QB. Visa versa, it doesn't make him a bad QB either. Devonta is an outstanding route runner with a very bright future. Obviously, Hurts needs to throw it more and he needs to get much more accurate on his down field throws before Devonta challenges for a top 10 type WR but he has the talent to be great IMO.
In reality it is all about Targets to get to the upper tiers at the position and stay there long term. QB accuracy does matter big time as well to turn high targets into high receptions.

We see this all the time with running QBs and with gun slingers who throw up balls all the time.
Rodgers had 1000 more yards, 21 more TDs, 5 fewer ints than hurts.

The big take away is Smith is a legit NFL WR. I know tons thought he would never be anything but even if he doesnt reach superstar status in that offense I think he showed he can and does compete at a high level in the NFL.

Tons of upside and he's proven he definitely belongs. I'll be watching to see what they do at QB. If Hurts can improve in the passing game, or they make a move for a big time QB, Smith could see a drastic increase in production.
