Early 2022 TE rankings
I've seen rankings in various platforms and podcasts, curious what ppl here think.
Thoughts on the top TEs? Let's pretend we're talking 12 team PPR starting 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE and a W/R/T flex.
Feel free to go how deep you'd like, and organize however you want.
These are grouped in tiers, but not ranked-
Kittle MAndrews Kelce
Waller Pitts Goedert
Knox Hockenson Freiermuth
Schultz Gesicki
Fant Henry
Curious others' rankings and who people are high and low on.

Pitts in the 2nd tier? Get out.
I'd move Hock, Fant and Schultz all up one tier.
Id move Pitts up 3 tiers

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
For Dynasty I'd rank them;
Pitts, Andrews
Goedart, Kelce, Kittle, Waller
Hockenson, Freiermuth
Fant, Knox, Schultz, Gesicki
I like Schultz, but I think a bad team will overpay him in FA so his situation will get much worse.

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
Production wise in 2022 - obviously fluid as we get QB changes etc.
Kelce, Andrews
Pitts, Kittle, Waller, Hock
Goedert
Everyone else in some order no1 can predict.
Speaking dynasty value, Pitts would be at the top with Andrews.

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
Pitts 21, class of his own at his age
-
Andrews 26, would be in the next group down, if he were 2-3 years older
-
Kittle 28
Kelce 32
Waller 29
-
Hockenson 24
Goedert 26
-
Freiermuth 23, I’m high on Muth like some others, but don’t think you could quite trade him for Hock or Goedert and should be no chance you’re getting him for Fant or Gesicki. He’s in a tier of his own
-
Fant 24
Gesicki 26
Knox 25
Schultz 25
Henry 27
-
Kmet 22, great chance to shoot up a few tiers, but won’t move him prematurely
Smith Jr 23, pretty good chance to move up once he returns
-
Ertz 31
Higbee 29
Gronk 32
Engram 27
…
Right now I think Hock, Goedert, Freiermuth, Kmet, Smith Jr are the biggest buys at the position.

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
I like some of these listings waaay more than what I put together at the beginning. I know there's the perspective that the options after the first tier or so have mostly TD-driven upside, so you have to pay up for elite upside, but putting Pitts that high puts too much weight on speculation. I prefer taking those kinds of gambles deeper down rankings.

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
Agree with the concept of having Pitts in the top tier due to age, but Andrews belongs there IMO. He's just into his prime. Pitts didn't win anybody titles this year, Andrews did. He provided a significant scoring edge at the position.dondickenson wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 8:21 am Pitts 21, class of his own at his age

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
I just wish Brock Bowers was able to declare. He will be the next real big thing in the NFL at the position in a few years if continues to develop.
The best two dynasty TE's long term are so easy no need to even mention their names.

Re: Early 2022 TE rankings
Hahahaha; I see what you did there but Kittle just missed the mark going 4.7, 4.5, & 6.0 the last 3 games of the season.
