Re: Week 7 Discussion

Actually it would be more interesting to see him traded before the deadline to the Ravens!

I think they're committed to the AARP approach at the RB position this year unfortunately.BlackOmega wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:59 pmActually it would be more interesting to see him traded before the deadline to the Ravens!

Re: Week 7 Discussion
With the teddy start its not terribly hard to keep your job going middle of the pack. It's easy to get people invested with the whole one more piece mentality. If a team tanks thay year, it's a great way to kick out either the coach or gm and let the other brjng in a qb and the other they like or just can Both and go from scratch
Re: Week 7 Discussion
Cleveland replaced a Chubb with a Johnson and still get a good performance.

Re: Week 7 Discussion
Yup. I'm actually optimistic about Bell after seeing him progress. I wasn't a huge fan of the signing at the time, but maybe he can put it all together for a late season run as COP/3rd down back. Still staying away from the whole backfield for fantasy purposes, aside from DobbinsShoreline Steamers wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 9:38 pmI think they're committed to the AARP approach at the RB position this year unfortunately.BlackOmega wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:59 pmActually it would be more interesting to see him traded before the deadline to the Ravens!
Re: Week 7 Discussion
So with how... mediocre... Keenum was last night, do you think the Browns let Baker play week 8? He sounds like he should be out for a few weeks but he really wants to play week 8. I just don't see this ending well for him.
Re: Week 7 Discussion
Vs the Steelers? I'd probably dress him, but I wouldn't feel comfortable putting him in TJ Watt's line of fire

Re: Week 7 Discussion
Nope. Baker has been mediocre a lot of the time, too. Was a windy game last night, Case did well enough. They will rest him. I really have my doubts he gets extended, too. He's the weak link on a really good roster. He's got a really good situation with that run game and line, he just hasn't elevated his game to the level needed for them to be considered a true contender IMO. With Lamar, Burrow, and possibly Rodgers next year in the division, I think the Browns are at a crossroads, and having an injured Baker is definitely not the answer. I think they rest him until healthy.

Re: Week 7 Discussion
Baker has a fracture bone in his shoulder, in addition to the torn rotator labrum. Got to think he is out a month or so.
Sure he wants to play...he doesn't want Case Keenum to show him up.

Re: Week 7 Discussion
All i could think about last night was poor Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Denver needs to do anything they can to get Rodgers or at least a competent QB. Fans of them must be so tired of the QB play.
