Jamal Agnew

Postby Pullo Vision » Tue Oct 19, 2021 8:35 pm

After Chark went to IR, Agnew has turned in two PPR useful games week 5 and 6-
Targets-catches-yards
7-6-41
6-5-78

He's popping up all over in waiver wire recommendations this week. Read he actually has DB eligibility on a platform out there.

Thoughts on whether he has any value/production after this year?
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Had him on the roster last week, but couldn't bring it over me to start him. Even though he has DB eligibility on sleeper, but with our idp scoring, 10-15 points is (for good DBs) an average day and - even though he scored 10+ again - that was a stretch for me.

Picked him up for 2 squads last week. Seems to be getting some targets and may be flex worthy with the byes. Not sure that there is much of a ceiling, but 10-15 pts and an occasional td is certainly worth a free roster spot.

I like him in leagues with kick return yards. Seems like he's more viable there.

At first glance probably this years Travis Fulgham - aka a guy who can be productive if he gets targets but the likelyhood he gets passed/replaced by higher pedigreed talent seems strong. But perhaps if it is more than a 4-5 week burst he could have a secondary career much like Tyrell Williams. Further it seems he is a recent convert to the position - having played CB until 2020 - and positional converts are always intriguing because they tend to have a slightly different approach to the position.

One thing is for sure is that he's quite the athlete so odds are more favorable that he'll likely get further opportunities. 4.34 at the Pro day as a CB.

I had him last year as sort of a mini-cheat code in an IDP/return league. He was one of the few IDP return men.

I mean, in deep leagues at least, he's fine to take a shot on for now, right?

My WR depth isn't great either so I just picked him up.

Now just gotta survive the week 7 byepocalypse! Agnew makes my 10th player on bye
35 Team Dyn PPR, 3 x Copy SF start 2TE Super Prem (TE 2 PPR, 8pt TD), 6 pt/non-TE TD, 1pt/20 yds pass (300 +3pt), 1pt/10 yds rush/rec (100 +3pt)

Start 12: 1QB 1SFLX 2RB 4WR 2TE 2FLX | 30 Active Roster, unlim Taxi, 3 IR/Out (+) | est. '21 | playoffs '21, '22

QB - J Allen, T Lawrence ...
RB - A Ekeler, S Barkley, J Cook, I Pacheco ...
WR - AJ Brown, C Ridley, G Pickens, C Sutton ...
TE - D Njoku, D Knox ...

I actually like having all my players on the same bye. Take 1 L instead of scrambling for weeks. In 1 league I have 7 players on bye :geek:
14 Team Super Flex, 1 PPR
QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1 Flex, 1 SFlex, 3 IR

QB: Davis Mills, Kenny Pickett, Sam Darnold, Matt Corral
WR: Chris Godwin, A.J Brown, D.K. Metcalf, Jerry Jeudy, Jalen Reagor, Allen Lazard, K.J. Osborn, Skyy Moore, Tutu Atwell, Greg Dortch
RB: Josh Jacobs, Khalil Herbert, Tyson Chandler, Ronald Jones, K Gainwell
TE: Robert Tonyan, David Njoku, Jonnu Smith, Gerald Everett, Jelani Woods
2023: 1.05, 1.08
2024: 1

Just general FYI, no longer DB eligible on Sleeper. Think the change went through yesterday.

That is one way of looking at it, sounds good! Here's to the return of most of my team next week!

*Gulp* Starting him this week alongside Sutton. Adams out due to COVID puts me in a position where its a choice of Agnew, ARob, or Meyers. NE has a tough matchup in their passing game and Robinson can’t be trusted with the CHI passing O so inept. At least we reward return yds, but still…

Yeah, starting Agnew too - with Golladay probably out again for the 7 millionth time in the past couple years (too bad, love watching him and Saquon play), kinda have to. That's fantasy football, crazy stuff happens!
