Re: Kevin Ogletree nominations
I agree to a significant extent. I'd like to make a strong argument for another player, but he's the best option among players likely on leagues' waivers.Vcize wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 8:08 pm I mean, Mitchell is the only guy who even qualifies, right? The whole point in Ogletree was everyone wanted him and was sure he was this year's big breakout player. Johnson/Jefferson don't really have tons of hype I think most people know they just had a nice day on super limited targets and are willing to take a roll at the dice. Mitchell is the only one that has enough hype to warrant this. Even the people picking up Johnson/Jefferson are probably expecting them to not do much and end up being dropped for the next guy in a couple weeks.
Realistically even though it didn't happen in the exact same time frame (post week-1), Callaway seems like the most similar guy to Ogletree.
I've read various waiver add articles that have mentioned Sterling Shepard as a target. He's not on any of my waivers but he'd strike me as a good candidate- bad offense, bad QB, plethora of mediocre targets to spread the mediocre production. This doesn't say anything about him, but I just see the production from this Sunday as not being consistently replicable, thus not a fantasy starter.

Elijah Mitchell, after a monster week 1 and then a dud week 2, looking Treeish. But every RB in San Fran keeps dying so I think he'll be forced to be a workhorse again week 3?
Interesting one, Vikings WR3 on a run heavy team, KJ Osborn who even I as a vikings fan didn't know of until week 1, had two back to back good weeks

As expected Christian Kirk now disqualified.ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 7:53 pm Christian Kirk does not qualify, ihmo, because he's done more than flash in previous seasons and should not be in FA except in shallow / smaller (ie 8-10 team) leagues. Last year alone he had 3 20+ performances. This was not even his best performance - that was in 2019 when he went 6-138-3 in Week 10. That year he had 10+ points in 9 of the 13 weeks (missed 3). His career yrd/g is 50 - thats a respectable 800 yards a season - simply has not been able to play a full 16 game season (likely part fluke and part needs to improve conditioning). Point being - while this may be his best outing of 2021 - I strongly doubt it will be the only time he'll be useful in a lineup - especially as next week the Cardinals get the Vikings corners who struggled in Wk1.

WR17 atm with 2 top 24 WR weeks
Pascal probably disqualified due to flex value in Week 2 but we'll give him more time to verify. Juwan Johnson & Van Jefferson the likely contenders for the throne.

Van Jefferson now disqualified due to Week IV WR1 Week
Basically its going to be Juwan Johnson by default it seems.

My bad - must have missed the Johnson TD. However Mitchell gets a pass from me until he is back on the field. Guess though he is the most likely candidate left.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 2:21 pmIt's gotta be Mitchell. He's gone straight downhill, Johnson bounced back last week with a real nice TD.

FWIW, Johnson beautifully sold an out route, flipped back upfield and snagged a nice TD.ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 2:31 pmMy bad - must have missed the Johnson TD. Re: Kevin Ogletree nominations
People blew their waiver money on Mitchell after Week 1 and he's done nothing since. Even though he's been injured, it doesn't get more Ogletree than that
Re: Kevin Ogletree nominations
This is looking like an injury clause Mitchell winning unless he comes back from injury to do RB2 numbers

Re: Kevin Ogletree nominations
Mitchell has now had 2 RB flex level performances (8-10 points) apart from his WK RB1 production.
Johnson had a 10 point performance Week 4 (TE15).
Pascals Wk 1 was his best week (WR 16) with Week 2 being WR 32. After that his best performance looks to be WR 60 in Wk 4 - and this week 1 target and 0.
The only ones that we can rule out are Kirk (2 WR2 performances added) & Van Jefferson (2 WR1 performances now).
However if we are willing to stretch the rules slightly then we could have a different answer.
Freddy Swain.
Week 2 he was WR12 but apart from that has never been higher than WR 42.
