No thanks. I’ll continue to roster Mitchell and let others roster the others. Mitchell had strong reports all through camp and was doing the things that the SF running game requires while the others weren’t. Between that and playing STs, that got Mitchell his chance when Mostert went down. I’ll stick with what I see is the talent.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 7:52 amYou don't have to start anyone. Just roster one of them and wait for the volatility. Jeff Wilson was a league winner last season after Breida was traded, and Mostert and McKinnon both went down. Wilson himself was injured too.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 5:56 amSo roster all the SF RBs and hope you are starting the right one that week?mild wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 7:07 pm Here's a move for any Elijah Mitchell yearners with an IR in their league...
Pickup Jeff Wilson this week for 1/10th the cost and stash him now that IR's are active post-cutdowns.
Grab yourself a Week 10 winner for free. The best player in this backfield is whoever is playing.
The best 49ers RB is the one who is playing. None of them are special unless they are playing. Mitchell, Hasty, Sermon, and Wilson all have the upside to win you a league.
Hell, go pick up Kerryon while you're at it.

Waivers for one of my leagues just processed. 21 man rosters + 2 taxi spots. One team traded for $75 FAAB (each team gets $100, $1 min bid for any FA) and won the bidding with $170 for Mitchell.

So you get $100, but he won with $170? Collusion!
In 2 different leagues he went for $75 and $70 out of $100. Guess my $38 wasn't good enough.

In our lg a guy traded M. Thomas for A.J. Dillon and $75 (redraft lg) to get more than the $500 original amount allotted. We shall see how much Elijah goes for when waivers get announced this afternoon.
Happens a lot in this lg at least guys trying to dominate bidding wars so selling valuable assets that are excess @ a position or injured but coming back later in the year

Knowing the waiver winner is useful. More useful is knowing what was the second bid. I hate when I blow faab by crazy over bidding the #2.

Re: Elijah Mitchell thread
Spent the max of our $500 to take a crack at the Gold Ring.
In our lg you can see what the losing bids were. A cpl of bids were high 300's so wasted at least $100 but wanted to secure what should be leading rusher in a leading run offense. Likely will make a trade later & get some cash for smaller acquisitions. Ekeler & J. Rob were our 2 main RBs (must start 2) along w/ J. Williams (Det) and Rhamondre..
Can start up to 4 RBs / WRs so hoping to have 3 solid if not spectacular options. Really feel Mitchell will hold on to top spot in pecking order (obviously). Hoping for Mostert like numbers on 12-15 carries & 2-3 catches per gm. most games. Afterall he did get his big game against the LIONS Everybody does !

49ers added Trenton Cannon off waivers
Re: Elijah Mitchell thread
If he plays ahead of Sermon, this place will riot.
(But it really could happen, if Sermon is indeed refusing to play ST's)

A guy who is a good return man - maybe to relieve their new starting RB of his kick return duties as well as providing RB depth?

Have Sermon stand at the 30 yard line American Gladiator style and be the last line of defense before scoring. His name will be Brickwall!Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 5:39 pmHow is Sermon going to play STs? The kicker would beat him down the field.

Re: Elijah Mitchell thread
Cannon is fodder. I wouldn't worry. Same with Kerryon. Both these guys are more a threat to Sermon than Mitchell.
That said, I still think Hasty is the guy to own in this backfield for the short term, but that's until Wilson gets healthy.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Mitchell be the lead back next week, but I also wouldn't expect it either. I got Hasty for almost $0 in each of my leagues, which I expect to be equal or better value than anything put towards Mitchell.

Re: Elijah Mitchell thread
I loved Wilson last year. That said, if Mitchell or Sermon or Hasty runs well, I don't think they would immediately insert Wilson above them. I could be wrong, but with this whole hot hand approach, I don't think starting Wilson over another RB that's hot is happening.
Who knows if it's Hasty or whoever in the lead but I'd think Wilson is at best 3rd on the rotation if he were to come back tomorrow. Now, he's still weeks away from being back so there's plenty of time for the rest of the RB to get banged up or underperform.
Am I way off in this assessment? I feel like no one (not even Shanny) knows what will happen

My assumption would be the same. Hot hand approach. That said, when Wilson came back from injury last year in week 12 he was given a pretty even workload immediately despite Mostert and McKinnon being active as well.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 6:43 am I loved Wilson last year.
