Devin Singletary - Ready to Blast Off!!
Re: Devin Singletary
As an owner I'd sell him for two 2nds easily. One if it was reasonably early.

Bills offensive line just isn't run blocking well this season, even though I'm not big on Singletary to begin with.

Devin Singletary - Ready to Blast Off!!
The Bills have taken Zack Moss off the active roster today. I think the time has finally arrived that Devin Singletary will take his step forward.
I'm putting my stake in ground. Singletary will have 100combined yards and 1TD today, and will be the first game of his blast off into fantasy relevancy. Anybody with me?

Re: Devin Singletary - Ready to Blast Off!!
Even with the 6.5ypc, this seemed more of a sputter than a blast off. Hopefully, he can maintain his role as undisputed #1RB for another week and do more to prove his worth then.

Re: Devin Singletary - Ready to Blast Off!!
I've always contended that Moss is the very definition of a plodder. I wasn't into him as a prospect and was a little surprised when they drafted him on the heels of the year Singletary had the year prior. I had no idea why the coaching staff liked Moss so much.
Singletary may not be a rockstar but he's explosive and just adds more juice to that offense IMO. Ultimately, I still see Buffalo drafting a stronger RB in the next year or two. But seeing Moss inactive, while shocking to many, made a lot of sense to me based on the eye test. Singletary looked really good yesterday too, averaging 6.5 ypc against a tough defense.

How is Moss the "better back"? I'm perplexed. Is it perhaps because you own him?Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 10:15 am Nope. Moss is still the better back. We have no idea why he’s inactive today.

Re: Devin Singletary - Ready to Blast Off!!
Moss has never been and never will be a "better back". He may be a better short yardage back and have better size for early down work, but Singletary has always been more explosive.
Even with Moss inactive, I worry Singletary will get forgotten in this offense. They seem perfectly content relying on Josh Allens arm and scrambling ability. I can't say I blame them.

I own him because he’s the better back, not the other way around. He’s not a plodder, he’s very Montgomery-like and had Singletary beaten out before he got hurt. He’s better between the tackles, he’s a better receiver, and he’s better in pass protection.JFever wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 6:35 amHow is Moss the "better back"? I'm perplexed. I’ll be very curious to see the reason why Moss was inactive yesterday. I could be wrong and he may have dropped to the least valuable RB on the roster right now. We’ll see.

Do we know why Moss was inactive?
Re: Devin Singletary - Ready to Blast Off!!
Coach said he didn’t practice well. He was a healthy scratch.

I guess this take surprises me a bit because clearly we are looking at the same thing - and seeing something very different. When I watch Z.Moss run, he looks like a plodder. He is bigger, runs very upright, and has a short stride length. I haven't observed anything that would make me think he is a better reciever. Between the tackles runner, I can concede that. Better in pass protection, that is debateable and it would go against the talk leading up to the start of the season. Add on top of that an "inactive" start due to poor practice performance - and it gets more difficult to defend your stance. In time, perhaps you could be right. At this time though, signs seem to indicate the contrary.

Buffalo disgrees. Singletary got 50 targets to Moss's 14 last season
