If this is the same toe he was struggling with all off season, we may not see AG again for a bit. Regardless, he's got turf toe again (big toe), and that's not good.

Hopefully he can continue to play. It would be a shame to see him climb all the way up to RB10-12, only to fall back again.

I am honestly not risking him where I have him. I have one matchup in TE premium and I'm going Fant at 4:30 over Gibson on the SNF game, if he's a game time decision. I expect he might be out a bit of time, but even if he plays, he won't be very trust worthy. He had 3 touches for 4 yards after his injury. Turf toe just saps your explosiveness.

Gibson lasted longer than I thought he would. He fought injuries all season. I fully expected him to miss a game or two along the way, and I expected McKissic to have a much bigger role all season long, neither of which happened. Fitzy goes down early, the passing game was weak, they relied on the running and short passing game all season long. That boosted his workload and he held up his end imo.

Even if Gibson doesn't make the top 10, he sure as heck exceeded expectations in my mind.

After week 17, he’s at RB12 in 0.5 PPR. RB20 on a PPG basis. Likely not going to move up much, if at all, in the next week, and could be passed by a few depending on whether he plays in a meaningless week 18 game.

When one considers the health issues of Gibson and the team to be named in February in general, Gibson had a strong year and his owners should be happy with his development and his desire to play the game.

While I would listen to offers; I sure won't be looking to sell anytime soon.

Love all the different perspectives on him. As someone who did have him and had bought into the "Top 5 Rb" hype i was majorly disappointed. Now i did trade him around midseason for 2022 1.12, Mike Evans (who i flipped for 2022 1.07) Devin Singletarty and Chris Evans but had i trusted my gut that he wasnt a top 5 RB and traded him last offseason i could have gotten even more of a haul. I do think he is a good player but the hype train was also certainly out of control

I'll take the L on my prediction of T6RB. There are excuses that could be made, but the bottom line is Gibson didn't end up as high as I thought he would. Wherever Gibson ends up, there are several RBs ahead of him in 2021 stats that I strongly prefer Gibson over as we look ahead to 2022.

The great news is he played very well in most of the games he played. 2022 looks like another RB1 season for him. Not the kind of player I'm looking to trade away. I want all the RB1s I can get.

Is anyone tracking season totals? Gibson is now at 139 yds and a TD rushing with 1 catch for 5 yds

ETA - looks like he’ll finish with 146 yds & 1 TD with 1 catch for 5. I think he just passed Jones, who didn’t play, and Chubb who looks like he ended his day with 58 yds and 1 catch for 2 yds

Mentioned that he'd likely finish low-end RB1 high-end RB2 earlier in this thread and I think that's what most people expected before the season. Gibson finishes with 1326 scrimmage yards and 10 TDs in 16 games. Played more than half of the year injured, as well.
