On the plus side I liked what I saw from Zay Flowers and the OSU WRs
Burks was fine too but absolutely handicapped by atrocious QB play

Totally agree.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 3:07 pmThis was worse than Howell's IMO--especially with 2022 RB prospect Eric Gray and 2023 devy darling Marvin Mims on the field with him against a team playing at home
They're really leaving the door open for Desmond Ridder or Carson Strong to Zach Wilson their way to the top of the QB class

I'm really liking what I've seen from Zach Charbonnet since escaping Harbaugh's dungeon for talent
Not much of a pass catcher at Michigan but only just starting to get used in that aspect of the game
I think he has a shot at working up to day 2 pick territory

For sure. Especially if he looks like that and is actually doing it at anywhere near the 220 he's listed on at ESPN. His current YPC and YPR are insane. 6/106 last week for 3 TD's, 1 grab for 14 yards. This week currently 7/70 and a TD, and 1 grab for 35 yards.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 6:50 pm I'm really liking what I've seen from Zach Charbonnet since escaping Harbaugh's dungeon for talent

Yeah the top of this class looked good!StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 3:09 pm On the plus side I liked what I saw from Zay Flowers and the OSU WRs

Zay didn’t even look like he was trying and he had 135 and a score.
Drake London starting his case as a top 5 WR in the class and with some positive TD regression will be.
Spiller looking like the cream at the top with Charbonnet hopefully valuting himself into the top 4-5 to add more depth.
There may not be the cherry at the top of this class at RB, but a lot more depth/talent then people are saying

Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
DJU (trash today but his team sucked too and it was his first real start in the limelight), Bryce Young
Bijan Robinson, Tank Bigsby, Jahmyr Gibbs (my god those RBs), Kendall Milton
Kayshon Butte, Marvin Mims, Rakim Jarrett
Could have some 1st round TEs in Arik Gilbert and Michael Mayer too
It looks like a 2020/2017 type class
I still like 2022 bit more than consensus but 2023 will be a monster--the RBs mainly. That's three guys who'd be the best prospects since 2020 on current trajectory--maybe even best since Saquon for Bijan

He started against ND last year.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 8:49 pm DJU (trash today but his team sucked too and it was his first real start in the limelight)

He did. He also did so with zero expectations as a backup fill inbjd5211 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 9:10 pmHe started against ND last year.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 8:49 pm DJU (trash today but his team sucked too and it was his first real start in the limelight)
This was different
Not saying he didn't play poorly but it was an enormously difficult test with limited help (OL mainly)

If Drake London continues to play at a high level he most likely will be WR1 in the class. Olave has looked good, but limited athletically and it’s been tough to gauge Treylon Burks ceiling in such a god awful throwing game

Howell bounces back with over 350 in the air and 3 TD's, no picks, and over 100 on the ground and 2 TD's.

I don't think he will be the first WR selectedalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 8:26 pm If Drake London continues to play at a high level he most likely will be WR1 in the class. But he has a real shot at being my WR1
Breaking out as a freshman despite the presence of Amon Ra and Pittman, outproducing an older Amon Ra as a sophomore and now dominating as he should as a junior
Big fan of him, Wilson, Burks, Bell, Ross and if he declares then Pickens
But I think him, Burks and Wilson are in a tier of their own to me
Agree on Olave

Jalen Wydermyer is a name that hasn't been talked about enough
Absolutely smashes the production thresholds I look for (ie clearly a focal point of an offense) with likely elite athleticism and seems to be getting mocked in a position for elite draft capital

Bell, London, Burks and Wilson are the top tier for me, followed by Ross and Pickens (both haven’t quite hit the elite market share figures you’d want to see and then missed their junior seasons unfortunately) - pretty much nailed them all.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 9:19 pmI don't think he will be the first WR selectedalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 8:26 pm If Drake London continues to play at a high level he most likely will be WR1 in the class. I know it’s really early but I struggle to see anyone else breaking into those tiers from an analytical perspective - no one else has anywhere close to the combination of freshman / sophomore production and size.

Bell's profile is elite but he is not going to test well athletically (which I don't care much about but NFL scouts do) and likely not get the draft capital of the othersRondalebaby wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 10:46 pmBell, London, Burks and Wilson are the top tier for me, followed by Ross and Pickens (both haven’t quite hit the elite market share figures you’d want to see and then missed their junior seasons unfortunately) - pretty much nailed them all.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 9:19 pmI don't think he will be the first WR selectedalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 8:26 pm If Drake London continues to play at a high level he most likely will be WR1 in the class. His production is actually the best in the class if I had to pick one
