Typically the cheapest of the 1st round rookie QBs ends up being a good deal.

Mac Jones this year. Herbert. 2018 was all over the board in terms of value. Allen and Lamar typically were QB3-5 iirc usually behind Baker, Darnold and possibly even Rosen on some boards. Mahomes was valued below Trubisky and Watson.

Just grab whoever is cheapest or try and snag one every year. Has worked well for me. The year I finally am in good position, I take Lance ugh.

Draft capital rules. The only non-1st round QB that have been relevant are basically Dak, Russ, Brady and Cousins. Carr and Jimmy G were 2nds as was Hurts. Could throw in Dalton in here but his days are up

These guys feel like they will be first round SF picks:

Corral
Willis
Howell
Spiller
Hall
Walker
Burks
Wilson
London

There are a number of guys who could/will fill out the late 1st/early 2nd range depending on draft capital - Bell, Pickens (if he comes out), Kyren (definite 1st rounder if day 2 DC IMO), Olave, Ross, WanDale, Dotson, and any other R1 QBs.

I rely on this forum and site for my dynasty drafts. I'm still learning rookies, systems, etc.
You’re definitely in the driver seat, hold and wait for people to get more pumped on these prospects around draft time. That being said, this is all league dependent but trading into the 23 draft is going to be hard. People in my leagues have already started stock piling them and are holding on with iron grips. The class is stacked and people know it now.

I know some of the 2022 draft but nothing of the 2023 draft.

Why are people so hyped? Is there a QB prospect like a Luck/Trevor? Is there some stud RB or WR? Or is it depth?

2023 is getting hyped because of the depth as well as extreme talent at the top. Bijan is being compared to Barkley. There's probably 4 or 5 other RB's that could make a case 1.01 pick any other year (fantasy wise). Bryce Young is making people salivate in SF leagues. It's a draft where a lot of darts are going to hit. This also might make it harder to choose between several people, but it's deep so even 2nd rounders are going to be highly touted.

Yeah, I think it's primarily the RB lust headlined by Bijan but 4-5 studs a la 2020. Young, a potentially elite TE prospect in Mayer, and then a lot of receivers led by Boutte.

I know people don't generally like player comps but my season is in the toilet so I want to have some fun
its mostly the WRs I've watched so add any you can think of
Treylon Burks reminds me of Josh Gordon
Garret Wilson I feel has some Terry Mclaurin in him
Jahan Dotson has some OBJ about him
Drake London I'm not really sure but like a more athletic Mike Evans (I don't mean this as an insult to Evans) I also heard someone say Brandon Marshall, generally not a fan of jump ball guys but my god he pops, so sad this injury has ended his season
David Bell kind of a Adams maybe (isn't some uber stud athlete but just gets it done)
those are just the ones that I've heard or that has popped into my head watching them play, I am in no way a scout or expert and I did mention the ceilings rather than floor comps because I feel like dreaming today.

I’m totally using this to say to my league mates ‘I was reading one analyst who said that WRs in this draft comp to Gordon, McLaurin, OBJ, Mike Evan’s, and Adams’. Maybe then I could get someone to buy one of my 3 2022 1sts 🤣

Hahaha please do, I'm very high on the WR in this draft, I too have 3 1st as people were just giving them away.

Nice comparisons. Burks reminds me of AJB, his acceleration and stocky build should help him as YAC guy at the NFL level.

I keep seeing Sam Howell mocked in the mid/late 1st in NFL mocks, I feel like he’s a top 10 guy all day. He had a little bit of a tough year but you have to add some context. He had almost no one to throw to except Downs, who is amazing. So what did he do? He ran for 72 yards per game because he had to to get that garbage offense moving. He seems to get knocked because people say he looks like Baker Mayfield, I see that. His overall statistical profile is great even with the down year. He really just seems to have good poise and he’s tough as nails.

I don’t know why I care maybe if he falls I will be able to scoop him up later in drafts and he will be on a better team but I just find it odd.

Don't sleep on Kenny Pickett QB Pitt. Might make a great homer pick to replace Ben.
