Just wait until the 23 class start having kids. I'm stocking up on 2045 class as we speak. Even if I'm a few years early I can trade back a few more years. Imagine thinking it's better value to have the 2022 class!

Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Already have one guy in my league who has bought into this class being so bad that he says itll be like the 2016 class, i find that laughable. He also doesnt have any picks so im not surprised he is saying this. Here is how i look at the group think, if the majority of people are saying its a good class (2020, 2017) for instance then that seems to usually be true for some reason, thats why im buying hard into 2023. If the majority says its bad that is far less likely to be true (2019 was not bad for instance), im not sure why this is? So this is a class that i think is gonna have a lot of hits at the WR position and people are going to wonder why they let themselves fall into the "Its a bad draft class" trap. Also top tier talent matters a lot and this class doesnt have that, doesnt mean its a bad class though

"bad class" is a bit subjective. I think its more of (at least for fantasy purposes) people are less willing to overpay for top end picks like in '20 or '23 because their is inherently more riskPatsfan86 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 10:25 amAlready have one guy in my league who has bought into this class being so bad that he says itll be like the 2016 class, i find that laughable. Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
This draft is pretty top heavy with O-Line and D-Line/edge types. These two positions will likely make 13-16 positions. Add in another 8-10 DB/S types and it looks pretty bleak in the skill position department. Maybe 3 QB's, 0 RB's and maybe 4-5 WR's if lucky but none in the top 10.
Not many lock FF studs in this draft. Looks like a way better NFL draft than a fantasy draft.

Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
2022 reminds me a lot of 2019 class minus high end talent at QB and TE. Some second tier RBs, a few top tier WRs, and not too much else going on.
() = Tier level as a prospect
2019
QB Kyler(1), D Jones(2), Haskins(3), Lock(3)
RB Jacobs(2), Sanders(2), Monty(2), Henderson(3), Singletary(3), Harris(4), Pollard(4)
WR Harry(1), Metcalf(1), Brown(1), Brown(2), Campbell(3), Samuel(3), JJAW(4), Diontae(4), McLaurin(4)
TE Hockenson(1), Fant(2), Irv Smith(3)
2022
QB Howell(2), Pickett(2), Corral(2), Strong(2), Willis(3), Ridder(4)
RB Hall(2), Spiller(2), Walker(2), Williams(3), White(3), Cook(4)
WR Burks(1), London(1), Wilson(1), Olave(2), Williams(2), Dotson(3), Robinson(3), Pickens(3), Ross(4)
TE Wydermeyer(3), Likely(3), McBride(3)
Edit:
So about 5(2019) and 3(2022) top tier prospects in each class, and none at RB. Whereas both 2020 and 2021, by my count, have about 8+- top tier prospects each, both with several at the RB position. 2023 looks very similar to 2020 and 2021 at this point. Just my take, and one way to look at it.

I'd actually struggle to call Metcalf and ajb tier 1 with the 2nd round draft capital. Ajb pre-draft was I'd agree as well. Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
my point was that, alot of the times "regular" or "average" classes will get labeled as "bad classes" because people see whats coming in the future, or they saw what was already came, and they dont want to pay the prices to get into the top end of the draft. In reality this class is fine. its not start studded like '20, but its an average class, and thats okay.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 3:17 amThis year wasn't supposed to be a good class, said most.ThunderTung wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 9:44 pm"bad class" is a bit subjective. Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Probably way too early to ask this, but I traded away most of my picks for next year. In my Superflex, the first pick I have is in the THIRD ROUND. Are there ANY QBs that may fall to me there? I know, wait and see who is drafted where. Just figured never too early to start building a list of players. Thanks.

For example: here are the QBs that went in the third and fourth round in my league:
3.01 Mond (R)
3.06 Trask (R)
3.08 Mills (R)
3.11 Tyrod Taylor
Mills would have been the example here I guess of a late round QB that may turn into something.

Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Hard to say for SF for me, i'd imagine most of the high upside QB's will be gone by then. Although last year, in a stacked QB draft, the only available first round QB left in my 1QB league in the 3rd round was Wilson. I have to imagine in a weaker QB class, in SF the best your gonna get is a 3rd/4th round flyer at QB. That said, IMO this is not the year to go after a QBwickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 11:23 am Probably way too early to ask this, but I traded away most of my picks for next year. Re: Way Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Superflex is a bit out of my jurisdiction, but I would think with this being a "down class" for QB's you might actually see a name dribble into the 3rd. Obviously Corral, Howell, and Pickett should all be gone, but you might see Malik Willis. Better chances of seeing a Carson Strong or Ridder. They're bench riders for year+, but if given the right situation might hold their own.wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 11:23 am Probably way too early to ask this, but I traded away most of my picks for next year.
