Looks like a picture of best buddies working out a secret handshake...
Or maybe they're working on hand signals on the field to signify route audibles?

2/2 for 26 yards. Nothing to get too excited about, but the fact he was looked at and targeted, love to see it.

I'm worried about the Colts ability to win high scoring games with this recieving core. Also the O-line kinda sucked in pass protection, which was really surprising.

Strachan has a very open depth chart here if he can continue to develop. They desperately need some receiving options that can get open.

Not expecting a wr 1 season but if Strachan can be in the steady rotation it will set him up for the future. Kinda redundant receiving corps w/ Pittman, Pascal & Strachan all big bodied outside types. Paris & T. Y. are better fits for slot work.

Now if any injury occurs to either Pittman or Pascal then we may get to see how good the rookie can be. Just getting targets in game one as a late acquisition shows the Colts think he's a player.

The Colts WR are garbage and Wentz had like 3 seconds before contact. Not a good situation for anyone. Happy to see him on the field though

Other than a botched snap, which is technically credited as a fumble to the QB, Wentz protected the ball well, and IMO, looked sharp for a guy with no pre-season, almost no camp, working with an entirely new team. Colts fans should be very excited to see that. What really stood out though, was how weak their WR corps is. I really thought they should have addressed that this off season, and it looks to be a mistake by Ballard at this point.

Huh. I don’t see the Colts’ WRs as a weak group at all. They aren’t Dallas by any means, but looking at those players and their capabilities it looks like a solid and deep group to me.

I'd say slightly below average. What about Indy's WR core would scare any defenses? With Hilton out, they have very little field stretching capability. Right now their most experience and consistency comes from UDFA Zach Pascal. Wentz had very little time yesterday, but even when he did the WR got very little separation from a fairly poor Seattle secondary.

I too, wish they would have addressed the position in the offseason.

I get what you are implying but 3 seconds is like a lifetime to throw in the NFL. I think the average is around 2.7 seconds. I doubt more than 2-3 would have an average at 3 seconds or higher.
