Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
As much as I hate the NE backfield as well, I'm holding a bit longer.
I'd guess for most of us the investment was around a mid second, so no extraordinary loss if he implodes immediately, but I'd like to see him in action a bit before I decide whether I move on.
It's not like anybody drafted him thinking he was going to completely change the history of NE backfield drama and become an immediate stud, at least I hope not.
In addition, what could you even sell him for right now? A third? A 21 late second maybe?
Let's see what he has to offer.

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
An easy hold for me. I've had a couple low-ball offers, but if I've held for a year, I can wait a few more months to see if he gets a shot & what he does with it.
I can understand selling now if you don't have the roster space, but I'd rather have the high risk, high reward lottery ticket than cash out for what you likely paid for him in the 2019 rookie draft.

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
If I had him in any league, I'd be selling in a heartbeat. When is the last time the Patriots settled on a RB worth owning? (outside of dump-off RB James White, of course) Corey Dillon probably?
He's a top-priority sell imo.

I was offered the 1.7 for 1.9 and Harris. That’s the difference between getting Jeudy or settling for Jefferson or Aiyuk IMO.
Would you cash out for that?

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
Dropped Hunter Renfrow and picked up Harris a few weeks ago. I don't need him, but will sell him when/if he does start to produce. Cheap investment for a possible decent payday...

Third rounder probably. I wouldn't take him over any player from this class drafted in the first two rounds.

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
This is the reason why I'd hold him where I own him. A third is nothing. I really can't blame anyone who doesn't want to pay more either. Might as well take the lottery ticket chance he'll do something this season.

Nobody will pay the likes of Dillon or Moss for him right now, which is understandable. But as it stands he will be the starting RB for the Patriots. That's more than you will get from most third round picks, even in this crazy draft. No reason to sell for that imo.

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
If he starts seeing increased passing down work, still assuming White gets the majority, how many touches are we realistically talking here...
Last year Michel had 267 touches. He should be back at some point so I can’t say I can see Harris getting to these levels. Unless of course, Sony goes down again for good or perhaps an injury to one of Rex or White opens the door for added opportunities.
Nevertheless, Michel had 247 carries last year, 15 and 21 rushing attempts in weeks 1 and 2. I can see Harris getting anywhere between 13-16 carries, throw in 2/3 targets/game, and he could have a nice Week 1 or 2 which might open up an even better sell high window; if you can’t sell already.

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
Traded him to a Pats fan before the Sony injury for an early 2nd in a SF league to a Pats fan.
In the last decade, only 1 Pats RB has had at least 120 carries and 20 targets, I believe the stat I am quoting goes. The Pats have very specific roles for their RB's. If they are getting carries, they aren't getting targets.

Re: So what are we doing with Damien Harris?
I sold last week to a Pats fan in my league who wanted him bad. Was pretty satisfied with the offer. I snagged Harris at the 20th pick of our rookie draft last year. Minshew is whatever to me, no loss there.
